May day Joint Statement
Drafted by Maoist Communist Party Manipur
In the present world situation while imperialism and other reactionaries are trying to overcome their crises and impose their order, they are facing more and more problems. The three major contradictions existing today are the contradictions between imperialism and the oppressed nations and peoples, between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat in the imperialist countries and among the imperialist countries. Among them the contradiction between imperialism and the oppressed nations and peoples is the principal contradiction. This is intensifying even more and revolution is the main trend. There is no real answer within capitalism to this unending crisis, the solution for which can only come through a proletarian Revolution.
Today, the time has
come for a new initiative, to explain the causes for the crisis, draw
lessons from past experiences, sketch for a bright future of the new
generation and March forward to the success of proletarian
Revolution.
The world
proletariat and the fighting people must learn lessons from the
failures in building socialism; and must continue the revolution
until the establishment of communism world-wide with redoubled
conviction and confidence. We must realize that the defeats are
temporary in the zig-zag course of the protracted new democratic and
world socialist revolution which will advance by destroying the
imperialist chain. No power in the world can stop this irresistible
trend of ultimate doom of imperialism and victory of socialism.
The Great
Revolutionary Peoples war in India and Philippines waged by the
Heroic comrades assured the success of proletarian Revolution and
triumph of Protracted Peoples War. The brave Peruvian and Turkey
comrades are still struggling for a great leap. Maoists Movement in
Bangladesh, Manipur, Latin America and other Europe countries are
also have bright future. Anti Imperialist and National Liberation
Group in Palestine, Egypt, Kurdistan, South East Asian Sub Continent
and others countries are also fighting against Imperialism. Comrade
Mao stated that “In the final analysis national struggle is a
matter of class struggle.” National oppression in essence falls
upon all classes comprising a nation except a small section of
exploiters directly or indirectly in league with imperialism and the
oppressors. But it is the masses of toiling people particularly the
peasantry who bear the largest burden of the oppression of a
nationality. National liberation struggle must be handled from the
strategic viewpoint that it is an inseparable part of the proletarian
Revolution.
The revolutionary Maoist forces, Anti imperialist forces
of the world should stand by each other, build solidarity movements,
and help and learn from each other’s experiences. Unity of all the
Marxist-Leninist-Maoist and anti-imperialist forces will undoubtedly
weaken imperialism further.
On this May Day we the
Marxist-Leninist-Maoist and anti-imperialist forces of the world
stand together and affirmed to continue the revolution until the
establishment of communism.
