Innanzitutto
con il genocidio; no alla deportazione del popolo palestinese;
In
avanzati, antiimperialisti e anti sionisti coerenti, considerare come
Cisgiordania, rappresentata dall’autorità governativa, l’ANP,
In
It is commonly known that the revolutionary movement in Nepal has
faced major setbacks. The principal cause of this being, of course,
betrayal by the very leadership of the movement. However, such setbacks
are natural and inevitable in the course of development of the
revolutionary movement; things never progress linearly with one success
leading to another and so on, but, rather, dialectically. Therefore, we
must never lose hope: the success of our movement is a historical
inevitability. This has been vindicated by the history of the
revolutionary movement across the globe. The 1905 revolution in Russia
was a failure — nevertheless, the 1917 revolutions led to, not just the
overthrow of the monarchy, but also the creation of the first socialist
state. Likewise, our revolution was aborted by the renegade leaders of
the time, yet our movement continues.
Despite the setbacks we have faced, the movement in Nepal continues
to grow — though it is currently in tactical retreat. The question,
thus, is not so much if the revolutionary movement can be rectified and
reconstituted (as this is a historic inevitability — for the proletariat
is the rising class), but, rather, how it is to be rectified.
The question of “how” looms over every Nepali communist like the sword
of Damocles. This is precisely the question we shall investigate in this
article.
This joint statement highlights the implications of the enforced
disappearances and torture of student and youth activists in and around
the city of New Delhi, the national capital of India.
A previous joint statement on repression in two universities in Delhi, published on 5 March 2025
noted that students speaking out on the ongoing state violence in the
Adivasi region of Bastar, Chhattisgarh, in central India, and the
increasing systematic exclusion of Muslims as citizens of India, were
being “arbitrarily picked up, going ‘missing’ while known to be detained
in police stations, with some of them being subject to illegal
interrogation by intelligence agencies whose remit is high-level
national security.” All these actions by state authorities were being
justified by “a narrative that delegitimises student and wider activism
in public as fearful ‘urban Naxalism’ or Muslim-led disruption against a
‘peaceful Hindu’ state.”
On 17/18 July 2025, ground reports alerted that many student and
youth activists, including some of those who had been targeted in the
incidents noted in our previous statement, had been missing since
several days and more were continuing to disappear.
India (Kolkata) – Demonstration the 28th of july for the Martyrs’ week
the July 28 is the martyrdom day of Comrade Charu Majumdar, the great
leader of the Nakshalbari movement. Martyrs' Day was celebrated
yesterday (28/07/2025) in memory of all the martyrs on the path of
India's new democratic revolution at the College Street Terrace on the
initiative of the Revolutionary Student Front. On this occasion, a
procession through College Street Chattwar and a road meeting were
organized in front of President University to honor the martyrs of
Operation Kagar including Comrade Basbaraj, Comrade Renuka and Comrade
Sudhakar.
The
Communist Party of Turkey Marxist-Leninist (TKP-ML) extends its
greetings to the Communist Party of India (Maoist) on its Martyrs’
Memorial Week, held from 28 July to 3 August. Our party sends its
solidarity greetings to the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and all
revolutionary forces in India.
On behalf
of the revolutionary movement in Turkey and Turkish Kurdistan, our
party commemorates the martyrs who made the greatest sacrifices in
the resolute struggle of Indian revolutionaries against imperialism,
feudalism, bureaucratic capitalism and fascism, led by the CPI
(Maoist) in India. We offer our deepest revolutionary respects. The
heroes of the Indian people, who sacrificed their lives in the
struggle for national and social liberation, are also heroes of the
Turkish and Kurdish nations and of our people from various
nationalities and beliefs.
Last year,
approximately 357 revolutionary fell on the path of the protracted
people’s war outlined by the great leaders of the Indian
revolution, the founding leaders of your party, and our teachers,
Comrade Charumajumdar and Comrade Kanhai Chatterjee. Of these, 136
were female comrades, and 34 were peasants.
We bow with
respect before the revolutionary struggles of all our martyrs,
including the former General Secretary Comrade Basavaraju (Nambala
Keshava Rao), who fell alongside 27 comrades on 21 May, and four
Central Committee members who fell at different times.
A
significant part of these martyrs were killed during the
counter-revolutionary ‘Kagaar Operation’ launched by the fascist
Hindutva Indian state. The reactionary forces of India are setting a
deadline to eliminate the Maoist movement. However, their grave
mistake will soon become evident. On one side of the reactionary
Indian state’s attack campaign against the Maoists is the
unrestricted opening of India’s natural resources to imperialist
and comprador capital for plundering, while on the other side there
is the struggle led by the CPI (Maoist), which constitutes one of the
most advanced positions of the international proletariat and the
oppressed peoples of the world.
Imperialists
and their regional reactionary lackeys are using all available means
and opportunities to eliminate communist and revolutionary resistance
centres they perceive as an immediate and real threat to themselves.
For this reason, global reaction is engaged in full-scale aggression
on the international stage. What is happening in Gaza should not be
understood merely as the genocide and massacre of Palestinians. What
is actually happening should be seen as a preview of the future that
the imperialist capitalist system promises to the working class and
the oppressed peoples of the world. A clear message is being sent to
every class and oppressed people who refuse to submit to imperialist
capitalism, who are in any way contrary to the order, and who oppose
the established system. Today’s Gaza is tomorrow’s world.
In this
sense, we view the martyrs who have become immortal in the struggle
for a New Democratic India and Socialism against the imperialist
capitalist system and the reactionary Indian state as a symbol of our
determination to struggle, and we draw inspiration from the
revolutionary struggle of the Indian working class and people. The
names of all the martyrs, especially Comrade Basavaraju, stand at the
forefront among the immortal heroes of India’s epic people’s war
and the revolutionary struggles for national liberation and socialism
worldwide. They raised the banner of armed struggle in India at the
cost of their lives and blood, inspiring proletarian revolutionary
forces worldwide to persevere in the struggle against the
aggressiveness of the imperialist capitalist system.
On this
occasion, the Central Committee of the CPI (Maoist) calls upon all
party members, PLGA forces, revolutionary workers, and the entire
people to commemorate all the martyrs, draw inspiration from their
sacrifices, revolutionary resolve, and fighting spirit, and to
protect the party, the PLGA, the united movement/people’s
organisation, and the revolutionary movement, and to resist the
counter-revolutionary “Kagar” offensive launched by the state
governments to destroy the revolutionary movement across the country.
Observe Martyrs’ Memorial Week
from.. July 28th to August 3rd! Mobilise the vast masses
into People’s struggles and Guerrilla war to fail
‘Operation Kagaar’ – The counter revolutionary war on the
people! Make determined efforts to advance the Indian
Revolutionary movement with the Strategy-Tactics of
Protracted People’s War!”,
CPI (Maoist)
------------------------------------------------------- Honour in all forms
comrade Basavaraj and the martyrs of 'Kagaar Operation'!
Intensify mobilization and actions against the Operation
Kagaar, for the release of political prisoners in India
Extend the support to the People's War in India and to the
Communist Party of India (Maoist), as important
international reference point for the liberation struggle
of the people oppressed by imperialism, for the world
proletarian revolution, socialism and communism!
ICSPWI
The ICSPWI (International
Committee to Support the People's War in India) calls on MLM
organizations and parties, all communist organizations and parties,
revolutionaries, progressives, and sincere democrats, to mobilize in
support of the People's War in India and its leading party, the
Communist Party of India (Maoist), on the occasion of Martyrs' Week
(July 28th – August 3rd).
The blood shed by the Indian
revolutionary martyrs who fell for the New Democratic Revolution in
India, the first step towards Socialism and Communism, must be
honored: it is the blood shed by our comrades who are ready for the
ultimate sacrifice to free India from the semi-feudal and
semi-colonial yoke and from bureaucratic capitalism in the service of
imperialism.
India is not only the largest
country in the world, with approximately 1.5 billion people, but it
is also the country ruled by Modi's Hindutha (fascism with Hindu
characteristics) regime and the main bastion of Yankee imperialism as
well as the main supporter of the Zionist regime in South Asia and
the world.
The Indian revolution
(Protracted People's War) has been active since 1969. Over the
decades, it has succeeded in liberating millions of proletarians,
peasants, and tribal people from feudal and caste oppression in the
areas where it spreaded, covering an area inhabited by over 50
million people from the far north of the Indian subcontinent to the
southern states of Kerala and Karnataka.
The Communist Party of
India (Maoist) is virtually the largest armed revolutionary party in
absolute terms by number of comrades, mobilizing sectors of the
masses through trade unions, women's organizations, environmental
organizations, and adivasis (tribals) and casteless groups. The PLGA
numbers approximately 20,000 armed men, not counting local popular
militias.
This great revolution is now
entering a crucial phase: Modi's Hindutva regime, through a brutal
and genocidal military operation supported by imperialism and Zionism
(using know-how and drones supplied directly by the Zionist Israeli
state), Operation Kagar, which involves tens of thousands of police,
paramilitary forces, and the army, declares it will "defeat
Maoism" in the country by April 2026.
As this deadline approaches,
Operation Kagar is intensifying: last May, the general secretary of
the Communist Party of India (Maoist) himself, along with 27 other
comrades and guerrillas, fell in combat after resisting a two-day
encirclement by over 2,000 paramilitaries.
In recent months,
hundreds of people, not only revolutionaries but also villagers and
tribals, have been massacred during this military operation.
Indian
civil society has called on the government to immediately stop this
"war against the people" and accept the CPI (Maoist)'s
proposal to initiate negotiations, but Modi's Hindutva regime not
only continues its course but also labels these activists "urban
Maoists," repressing them as well.
Fourteen years ago, on July
1st, Comrade Azad, a member of the party's central committee and
political bureau, was killed in a fake encounter. He was arrested and
subsequently killed in cold blood.
A few months later, on
November 24, 2011, Comrade Kishenji, a member of the party's
political bureau, was martyred in another fake encounter.
The martyrs of the Indian
revolution are the best sons of the Indian people who sacrificed
their lives not only for the liberation of India, but of the entire
world, from exploitation, contributing to the World Proletarian
Revolution.
Since October 7, 2023, the Communist Party of India
(Maoist) has actively supported the Palestinian resistance, despite
the difficulties it is experiencing, organizing support and
propaganda actions in India.
It is therefore an
internationalist duty to support this advanced revolutionary
experience and remember its martyrs, who are also ours.
ICSPWI therefore calls for
mobilization in all countries of the world on the occasion of the CPI
(Maoist) Martyrs' Week from July 28 to August 3, and in accordance
with the specific objective and subjective conditions in each
country, organizing:
Actions and protests at Indian
embassies and consulates
Support meetings
Propaganda
actions in factories, workplaces, among struggling workers and
peasants, in working-class neighborhoods, and in universities
The martyrs of the revolution
are immortal!
The revolutionaries of the CPI
(Maoist) are our comrades!
Comrades Basavaraj, Azad, and
Kishenji, leaders of the new democratic revolution in India, will
never be forgotten; their example will inspire future generations of
revolutionaries!
STOP OPERATION KAGAR
!Immediate freedom for all political prisoners in India!
proletariado a nivel mundial.
India
(Gadchiroli), Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh y Telangana.
manifestazione antifascista, palestinese, contro guerra e riarmo.

Due to the martyrdom of Comrade Basavaraj and the sacred
internationalist duty to defend the Prolonged People’s Wars of the
proletariat, our organization joins yet another international campaign
of the International Committee to Support the People’s War in India
(ICSPWI) alongside the Revolutionary Women’s Movement (MRM). Since the
announcement of the Mad Massacre, where 26 fighters of the PLGA and
members of the CPI(Maoist), guards of Comrade Basavaraj, were killed by
the army during Operation Kagaar, we have deepened our task to defend
and propagate the greatest ongoing revolutionary process (1967 –
present) since the capitalist restoration in China (1976).
Elevating the memory of Comrade Basavaraj is to remember what fiber a
revolutionary is made of and what kind of man/woman can be considered a
leader: the comrade lived a life entirely dedicated to the Indian
people and offered capable leadership to the Maoist movement. The
comrade lived almost his entire life underground and humbly took on his
task, which, despite being advised to withdraw from Chhattisgarh, he
remained and paid with his precious life the price of having advanced
the revolution over the last 7 years.
Due to the serious shortcomings of our old leadership, little has
been incorporated into the consciousness of even marxist groups
regarding the defense of the Revolution in India, nor has the masses
been explained what the People’s War is and the understanding of the
magnitude of the Indian process, its red corridor, and its extensive
practical and theoretical experience. This embarrassed gonzalist group
not only boycotted the first May campaign but forged its participation
in the June campaign. Their dishonesty is so blatant that the old MEPR
published a video from 2024 in June of this year as if it were recent¹.
Video fabricated by the old MEPR in July 2024 and published as if it were from July 2025.
They use a video from 2024 to forge their participation; the proof is
that in the video, there are our militants who broke with the National
Coordination in August and founded the new MEPR (Novo MEPR). It is a
shame—yet far from surprising—that the leadership of this movement
deceives its own base and the International Communist Movement with such
a video. The video recorded in July 2024 was recycled and does not
include at any moment solidarity and defense of the memory of Comrade
General Secretary of the CPI(Maoist), Basavaraj, nor any mention of the
current stage of Operation Kagaar. As for the merit, the video itself
proves that it is a fake, artificial solidarity, gathering a small group
of militants to take a photo, without any clarification and
dissemination of the PPW in India among the masses.
At the event held in São Paulo last June, poorly publicized and
attended, supposedly in defense of the New Democracy Revolution in
India, there is no mention in the central banner of this revolutionary
process, but only the self-promotion of another ghost organization
created by them, called the Anti-Imperialist League. The only
“solidarity” there is self-serving, as seen in the image that the event
organizers themselves released. These are methods of deception,
trickery, and the most abject political opportunism!
“Solidarity” with the PPW in India that is nothing but self-promotion. Source: A Nova Democracia.
We warn international proletarian organizations not to trust anything
that comes from the mouths or pens of the embarrassed Brazilian
gonzalists, the same ones who spread in their press as if it were true
that Covid originated in China (CIA version), that Iran was weeks away
from obtaining its atomic bomb (Mossad version, denied even by the White
House’s advisory), and who defend as if it were revolutionary the
bourgeois military and pro-russian imperialism government of Burkina
Faso². Moreover, it is quite curious that neither the so-called AIL nor
the International Communist League (ICL) have issued any statement
regarding this, nor have they been able to speak unifiedly about the
Zionist-American aggression against Iran. Has the eclectic and
principle-less unity among committed, embarrassed gonzalists and
semi-maoists within their ranks already crumbled?
For us, the slogan raised by Ajith of “Naxalbari will never die” is
the order of the day for revolutionaries and all youth, who must learn
from the experience of Naxalbari to the present day. Therefore, we
tirelessly strive to keep alive in our country the memory of him and all
the naxalites cut down by the genocidal Operation Kagaar. It is with
this aim that we join the efforts of the International Committee to
Support the People’s War in India (ICSPWI), legitimate forum recognized
by Indian Maoists, and we urge other democratic and revolutionary
organizations to do the same, as well as the Committee itself to enhance
its organic structure and capacity to attract new forces.
Street Actions – Denunciation during the BRICS
Shortly after the confirmation of the fall of Comrade Basavaraj and
his loyal guards – who one by one fulfilled their duty to their Party by
protecting the General Secretary – the ICSPWI made an internationalist
call to denounce the genocide in Palestine and India. We established the
slogan of the campaign “Defend the Indian Revolution and Palestinian
Liberation!”, understanding that in our country it is urgent to
propagate the process of People’s War in India, which is developing the
New Democracy revolution.
In Rio de Janeiro, during the BRICS summit, Narenda Modi met with
Lula and other leaders to discuss their plans. This Brahmanic fascist
must be treated as what he is: a murderer.
Therefore, we raised a banner on the main street in the city center,
where the delegations and tourists passed. We participated in the act of
denouncing the genocide in Palestine that took place at Cinelândia
Square just a few blocks away from where the BRICS meeting occurred.
We continue to participate in the Palestine actions with the
commitment to also bring the denunciation of Operation Kagaar and Modi’s
cursed plan, after all, not only is Modi a great friend of Yankee
imperialism, but he also buys weapons from Israel, weapons that kill
Palestinians, Indians, Brazilians, and oppressed peoples all over the
world.
We not only occupied the streets during the actions, but we also left
marks throughout the city so that the population is called upon and
encouraged to learn about the process of the Indian Revolution and to
defend the Palestinian Resistance as their own struggles.
Additionally, we also joined the organization of the film-debate
event of the documentary “Red Ant Dream”³ last sunday (13th July) at Al
Janiah, an important Cultural Center and palestinian resistance space in
São Paulo. In the debate, attendees expressed their opposition to
Operation Kagaar and in defense of the People’s War in India.
Activities at Universities
In the week of the massacre, we held rallies at universities to honor
the memory of the General Secretary of the CPI(Maoist) and to denounce
the genocidal Operation Kagaar:

Following our commitment, we included in our newsletters the
denunciation of Operation Kagaar, explaining the reasons why Modi’s
Brahmanic Hindutva Fascist Government launched this offensive against
the Naxalites and against all the peoples of India – especially the
indigenous Advasis and Dalits – declaring its bloody desire to end the
People’s War that defends and organizes the Indian people against
successive governments, liberating entire areas from State power. Areas
that the bourgeoisie aims to plunder; the fact is that Modi’s party
(BJP) made 104 agreements with large corporations to plunder natural
resources from the Advasi areas of Chhattisgarh, where the last
month-long operation was concentrated and where the general secretary of
the CPI(Maoist) was assassinated.
At the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), we proved that fascism
can be fought with the methods taught by the Third Communist
International, just as Dimitrov taught us, and we gave the fascists a
good beating. We also launched our Anti-Fascist June, with panels,
self-defense and cultural activities. At all our events, we promoted the
fight against fascism and imperialism in India, which is led by the
Naxalites.
At our cultural soiree, we presented not only books on our communist
history at our stand, but also the bulletin denouncing Operation Kagaar,
and speeches by comrades who linked the anti-fascist struggle worldwide
with the revolutionary struggle.
We renew our commitment to continue defending the glorious People’s
War in India and the Communist Party of India (Maoist) that leads it. We
understand that the fall of the general secretary of the CPI (Maoist)
was an immense loss for the people of India and for the exploited and
oppressed throughout the world. And that the Maoists are avenging his
assassination and will continue to prove that Naxalbari will never die!
