Organising a press conference at the City Hall in Kathmandu, the revolutionary leader Baidya said that the agreement reached among the parties was a deception to the Peoples Liberation Army and was against the country.
He also said that they were compelled to oppose the unilateral decision of the party establishment as it was against the decision of the party.
The revolutionary leader also accused the party establishment leaders of having links with the ‘expansionists and imperialists’.
“We want to keep party unity intact. Those who have links with expansionists and imperialists are trying to split the party,” he added.
Stating that the issue of the party unity should not be advocated on the basis of absolutism, Baidya said that they will not compromise with the mistakes of the leadership in the name of the unity.
He also warned party establishment that they would seriously think of seeking alternative of the government led by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai if the mistakes are not corrected at the soonest.
Baidya calls for immediate scrapping of peace deal
"PLA's contributions to bring about socio-economic transformation in Nepal are unheeded in the peace deal inked on Tuesday‚ so it needs to be scrapped and replaced by the next deal"
Expressing his disapproval over the deal on integration and rehabilitation of the Maoist combatants, he said on Wednesday that it was against the party’s decision; against people’s hopes and aspirations; against People Liberation Army(PLA)'s contributions; and against the national interest.
“PLA’s contributions to bring about socio-economic transformation in Nepal are unheeded in the peace deal inked on Tuesday, so it needs to be scrapped and replaced by the next deal” ranted Baidhya, who has been cornered by the coming together of two other vice-chairmen Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Narayan Kaji Shrestha along with the Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
While critiquing the facades of peace deal by organising a press conference inside the hall of Rastriya Sabha Griha at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, Baidhya blamed responsible Maoist leaders for going against party mandate.
He stated that the internal struggle will continue inside the party but party won’t split.“Imperialists, opportunists, and reactionary forces are engaged in conspiracy to split the party, and Tuesday's peace deal exemplifies the same,” Baidhya assessed.
Calling for respectful integration, Baidhya's revolutrionary faction is all set to organise a protest rally from the premises of Rastriya Sabha Griha.
