Baidya supporters padlock Maoist party office in Dhangadhi, burn down documents
Cadres of the Mohan Baidya faction of the UCPN (Maoist) have padlocked the Kailali district office of the party in Dhangadhi and burned down the documents Sunday morning.They placed the locks at the party office a day after physically encountering with the cadres supporting the party establishment in Dhangadhi.
Cadres of the party establishment had attacked a group of Baidya supporters when the latter were collecting money from the vehicles entering Nepal from India at the border.
The Maoist intra-party feud has culminated in the past few days with the rival factions holding separate programmes and engaging in blame game.
On Friday, Baidya faction burned the effigies of party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai in Kathmandu calling them anti-nationals.
