Workers at Gurgaon auto firm strike over ‘attack by company bouncers’
Production at the Manesar-based auto parts manufacturing firm Munjal
Kiriu came to a standstill on Tuesday after its workers went on strike
over the assault of some of their colleagues by the company’s bouncers,
sources said. The incident reportedly occurred on Monday when the
bouncers attacked a group of suspended employees protesting at the
company’s gate, injuring five of them. An FIR was registered on Tuesday
evening against three top officials of the company, as well as 20
unidentified people, after scores of workers protested outside Manesar
police station.
