India - Maoists attack work site of private company in Saran


Ultras of banned CPI (Maoist) blew up the generator room of a private company engaged in construction of Ara-Chapra bridge by exploding a bomb near Chirandh village under Doriganj police station in Saran district in the wee hours today. Maoists before making their escape good also left pamphlets demanding extortion money from the management of the private company.

Police said here that around 12 naxalites having allegiance with proscribed CPI (Maoist) barged into the work site of the company and made its 12 employees captives on gun point. Later, they triggered bomb explosion at the generation room, causing massive damage to it. Police have recovered three live can bombs from the spot. Bomb disposal squads have been called to defuse bombs.A massive manhunt is on to nab extremists.
