EVERYTHING IS POINTING TOWARDS WORLD WAR III
Imperialism (the modern, monopolized form of capitalism) functions like a cancer. It must continue to grow for the sake of growth, like any normal tumor, with the only difference that a tumor that stops growing is a sign of healthy development, while an economy that stops growing is a sign of crisis, collapse, starvation and death.

Because they depend on the acquisition of new markets, labor and raw materials like an addict depends on their fix, the monopolies and their political representatives (the imperialist powers and superpowers) are pushed to redivide the world already divided among them. All imperialist states - especially the superpowers USA, China and Russia as well as the budding superpower EU - want to get a bigger piece of the pie this time. They are all prepping for a world war and are therefore concretely planning to prepare their economies and arsenals for such a situation in the next 5-10 years. The US-led NATO invasions and occupations of Iraq, Yemen, Somalia and Yugoslavia, as well as the Yankee threats against Iran, are aimed at encircling Russia and China, while Russia's invasion and occupation of parts of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, as well as China's threats against Taiwan and the Philippines, are feverish attempts to counter this Yankee plan.

THE SWISS STATE HAS SKELETONS IN EVERYONE'S CLOSETS
It has been proven that without the help of Swiss finance capital, the Nazi war machine would have come to a halt in 1944. The same is the case today: The imperialist system, which causes tens of millions of deaths annually through wars, lack of healthcare and food, and extreme exploitation and oppression, would have long since come to an end without the "Bank of Switzerland" (which serves all sides in a nicely "neutral" way). But the banks are only the laundry for the dirty business in the "economic location Switzerland". The majority of Russia's oil is still being sold here, and thus the war of aggression against Ukraine is concretely co-financed. Besides the economic collaboration with the superpowers, Switzerland also has a military cooperation with NATO and the EU, and even participates with its soldiers in the occupation and dismemberment of Yugoslavia.

Against this background, it is clear that the Swiss imperialists are trying to play both sides, as they did in World War I and World War II. They can only do this by arming even more - not against a threatening invasion, but against the Swiss people. Switzerland is becoming more and more like the fascist, "totalitarian" regimes in Russia and China that it itself so hypocritically condemns. We see this in the increasing militarization of the police and the specialization and growing professionalization of the army, as well as in the move toward an all-seeing surveillance state and its new "anti-terror" measures, which have basically stripped 75% of the population of most of its democratic rights (which the 25% without Swiss passports never really "enjoyed").

SWISS WEAPONS: ONLY FOR US!
History has shown often enough that it is the people and not the weapons or generals who write history. Neither high military budgets nor expensive (and remotely controllable by the USA) aircraft like the F-35 will save us from invasion or occupation by a great power. For although all the countries of Europe from Poland to France rearmed against Germany in the 1930s, in the end it was the partisans, the armed people, who liberated Paris. The same is true of Vietnam, where the armed people drove out first the Japanese, then the French, and finally the Yankees. That is why our slogan is: "SWISS WEAPONS: ONLY FOR US, THE WORKING PEOPLE!", and that necessarily includes migrants who have virtually no democratic rights and live purely at the mercy of the Swiss banker government and its puppet courts, even though they create the perverse wealth of a few in this country every day.

OPPRESSION BREEDS RESISTANCE
But where there is oppression, there is resistance. In Ukraine, where the armed people are heroically fighting the Russian occupiers and thus learning how to stand up to all imperialists (and in the future against their "own" government) with arms; in Kurdistan, where the people have defeated ISIS and won autonomy; in Palestine, where after more than 75 years of illegal apartheid the Zionist occupiers have still not succeeded in subjugating the Palestinian people; and above all in India, where tens of millions of landless peasants, indigenous people, lower castes and workers have risen up in a real people's war and are building a new-democratic state. This Indian revolution is led by the Communist Party of India (Maoists), and is fighting against Modi's fascist government, the medieval rule of the landlords in the countryside, and climate- and human-destroying imperialism and all its capitalist servants.

Only through such struggles can the imperialists be prevented from going on to a world war. For this and many other reasons, they should serve as a model for us when we fight against Swiss participation in World War III. For, as the German communist Karl Liebknecht put it so well: "The main enemy is at home!" It is not important whether Switzerland is involved militarily or economically, whether Swiss troops are sent to Russia to fight for blood and soil, or whether Switzerland is once again skimming off fat looted gold through its hypocritical "neutrality".

JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST WAR, FASCISM, AND CAPITAL!
Against this background, various communist organizations around the world have published a statement entitled "Let us develop the revolutionary struggle against the imperialist war preparations!" on the website maoistroad.blogspot.com. This statement calls on all progressive, anti-imperialist and environmentalist forces to protest against the preparations for World War III on the international days of action on the 24th and 25th of February, 2023. It is important to carry our anti-imperialist message through various forms of action in the neighborhoods and businesses, and especially on Saturday the 25th of February to participate in the anti-war demonstration in Zürich. Spread this leaflet and invite everyone you know to this demonstration. World peace is in danger!

We also call on everyone to take action on this 1st of August -- the traditional anti-militarist day of action of the international workers' movement -- and to fight to build the broadest possible resistance movement against the growing danger of imperialist war, against the increasing fascization of Switzerland, as well as against the capitalist cancer that is causing all this.
