Myanmar: The Communist People's Liberation Army (PLA)
continues to act as an important force in the struggle against the junta
military dictatorship. The fighters of this force are ready to make the
highest sacrifices to protect the rights and interests of the people.
Recently,
the PLA achieved significant success in a guerrilla operation in an
area of the southern district of Military Region No. 1, Sagaing
Region, Myanmar. In addition to defeating the enemy in the operation,
weapons were seized from them.
During this
battle, a PLA fighter participated in the frontline with infinite
courage and was martyred. At the funeral and mourning ceremony organized
in his memory, fellow fighters and the local people paid deep respect.
Taking
the martyr's sacrifice as the motivation for the struggle, all those
present expressed their determination to further strengthen the movement
against military dictatorship.
