Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a strong warning to Pakistan on September 5, 2026, saying that if Pakistan indulges in any “misadventure,” India’s armed forces will enter its territory and strike. Modi made the remarks while addressing the centenary celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in New Delhi, where he said those spreading terrorism are currently “on the back foot.”
The warning comes against the backdrop of Modi’s repeated emphasis on India’s policy of responding decisively to terr0rism. During his SRCC address, he said that peace had increased from Jammu and Kashmir to the Northeast and claimed that the backbone of Maoist terr0rism and Naxalism had been broken. His remarks reinforced the government’s broader message that India will respond forcefully to threats to its security.
