Report of the International Committee of support of People’s War in India

First of all, we think the meeting is achieving a high unity among participants and those who sent messages.

The unity in the support for the people’s war, in celebrating the anniversary of the CPI (Maoist), in the positive assessment this meeting and thus in considering it as a success, in wanting to continue both the activities of the International Committee in support of the People's War in India and the support to the People's War in various forms.

This unity means that the message to the International Conference of the CPI (Maoist) has been taken up. We think that the meeting, its results and the contents of the speeches will be appreciated by the masses in India and the Indian communists.

The International Committee puts into the practice what it decides. The International Committee is what it realizes. The International Committee carries on the struggle and works to coordinate itself with all the forces that support people's war in India.

After the success of the International Conference in Hamburg, the Committee publicly took up new tasks and, generally, these have been fulfilled. During the process, we saw new members joining the Committee.

- The creation of a website of the International Committee;

- The development of committees and coordination in other countries;

- The circulation and study of the message of Comrade Ganapathy to the International Conference – that came after that a new International Day had been launched and observed, on 1^st of July, anniversary of the murder of Comrade Azad;

- The development of a campaign to free Dr. Saibaba, that advanced in the world:

- The organization of the International Day for the freedom of all political prisoners on January 25, 2014;

- The work for an International Delegation to India against the Operation Green Hunt and all forms of repression;

- The organization of a new International Conference on the occasion of the 10^th anniversary of the CPI (M).

Furthermore, we had also made clear the general position of the International Committee in three points, that we reiterate:

- The IC supports the people’s wars in India, the Philippines, Peru, Turkey and all the work to develop people’s wars in the world.

- The IC is aware that the best support for the People's War in India is to make revolution in each country, although this is clearly not a task of the IC.

- The IC asserts that the advance of the unity of communists and anti-imperialist and revolutionary forces helps the development of solidarity and support to the People's War in India.

All the speeches made by the forces belonging the IC, the parties and organizations that accepted the invitation, those who sent messages and other forms of support, are within this view of the matter. It is this view that must go ahead and inspire the continuation of our activity.

All the speeches will be collected in a publication, that will be issued in all the languages into which we can translate them, keeping in mind that, as it has been said in the introduction, this initiative does not close but opens any further action that can be done on the occasion of this anniversary.

It is clear that the best way that we found for a unified mobilization is that of the International Days of support. So it is clear that from this meeting a new International Day of support has to be proposed.

From the speeches come further proposals. Generally, all proposals are accepted and should be made so that they can be adopted by everyone.

We have to stress some things.

The Austrian comrades propose to connect the activities for political prisoners in India to other activities for other political prisoners in the world. We have already observed an International Day for political prisoners in India on January 25, thus we have no hesitation in organizing along with other forces, new International Days for all political prisoners in the world. It is right that this struggle may go ahead together with all the organizations that defend the political prisoners in the world.

The introduction and the speeches of Italians, emphasized the role of Indian multinational corporations. In particular, the Italian comrades will put forward a comprehensive proposal for a day of struggle against Indian MNCs.

A meeting will take place in Tunisia in the coming days. So there will be a further development of initiatives of solidarity and support to the people's war in India in this part of the world.

We note two important news coming with messages we received: the Communist Party of Afghanistan promised to integrate into the IC the sympathizers in Europe, as well as the creation of a Committee of support in Afghanistan is announced; the Network of Communist Blogs joined the IC. It means that we still have more say in new countries. This seems to us a significant advance.

The speech of the comrades of BGIA confirmed all the positive things that allowed to realize the International Conference in Hamburg in unity with them, then this coordination with BGIA must continue. The International Committee is not coordination, but a center of proposal and mobilization in support of People's War in India, and it coordinates itself with all the forces that support people's war in India, in the forms commonly decided.
