Funeral and cerimony to commemorate Haydar Kutan

 

A large-scale funeral and farewell ceremony was held yesterday in Rotterdam to commemorate Haydar Kutan (Hoca), who passed away on August 24, and to send him off on his final journey to Dersim.

At the ceremony, the Maoist Communist Party (MKP) delivered a speech on Haydar Kutan’s (Hoca) life, his struggle, and his contributions to the revolutionary struggle as a cadre. Following the speech, a slideshow featuring images and speeches by Hoca was presented.

Following the video presentation, the revolutionary organizations participating in the event delivered their messages. A representative from Partizan also gave a speech at the memorial event, extending condolences to Haydar Kutan’s family, friends, and comrades.

During the speech, attention was drawn to Haydar Kutan’s role as an intellectual workerwho, throughout his revolutionary life, created, wrote, and was constantly in search of new ideas. Emphasis was placed on his modest and self-sacrificing personality, which valued friendship and mutual respect among revolutionaries. It was stated that Haydar Kutan’s legacy and his contributions to the struggle would live on in the revolutionary struggle.

The march “Dağ Dumandır,” which Hoca loved to sing and listen to, was sung in unison by those attending the ceremony.

The farewell event, attended by revolutionaries from all walks of life, concluded with a mass singing of “The Internationale” and the chanting of slogans.

The funeral of Haydar Kutan (Hoca), who had lived in exile for 47 years and was being sent off to Dersim—a place he had longed for for years—will be laid to rest today following a ceremony to be held in Dersim.

Republican Prisoners Maghaberry Gaol - statement

Yet again, the blind hatred of Maghaberry screws towards Irish culture has manifested itself in the destruction of two Celtic crosses, handmade as memorial gifts for family members of lost loved ones.

The two items left Roe House, Republican Landing, a number of weeks ago in boxes to protect their delicate make-up. Yet, by the time they reached Visits Reception, the Security Department had drilled holes through the bottom of the crosses, directly through the names of Republican prisoners.

This was a recurring problem years ago, which now seems to have become commonplace again, despite the fact that an X-ray scanner exists within the prison. Its existence removes any false pretence or necessity to vandalise items such as these with drills.

The lack of respect shown towards Irish culture and the lost loved ones of Republican prisoners comes in the same week that Republican prisoner Barry Toman was refused compassionate bail to attend the funeral of his uncle.

During the application, the Maghaberry administration advised that they could facilitate the viewing of the funeral via a video link. This assurance influenced the court’s decision to refuse Barry compassionate temporary release (CTR).

However, the administration never facilitated the video link, despite repeated requests from Barry on the morning of the funeral. Eventually, a governor came onto the landing two hours after the burial to offer what amounted to an insincere apology.

This lack of respect comes as no surprise to Republican prisoners, but it should be condemned by all right-minded people.

Liberez Alex! Procès le 14 Septembre à Lyon , harcelé par l'Etat Français pour son soutien à la Palestine !

 

Depuis maintenant plus d’un an et demi, Alex, militant pro palestinien lyonnais et militant anti-impérialiste, est littéralement harcelé par l'état Français. En mars 2025, il est arrêté sur le tarmac de l'aéroport de Paris a son retour du Maroc par une équipe de la police anti terroriste, pendant que son appartement est perquisitionné et subit ensuite un strict contrôle judiciaire à la fin de ses 48h de garde a vue et de son passage devant le juge. Il sera même suspendu administrativement de son travail avant son jugement, ce qui est fondamentalement anti-démocratique. On lui reproche un discours de soutien au peuple palestinien et à Georges Abdallah. 

 

Il est jugé en janvier 2026 et écope de 10 mois de prison avec sursis, 2000€ d'amende, 5 ans d'interdiction de port d'arme, 5 ans d'inéligibilité, ainsi qu'une inscription au FIJAIT (fichier des auteurs d’infractions terroristes). 

En mars 2026, il est à nouveau perquisitionné par la police anti terroriste et maintenu en garde à vu pendant 48h, avant d'être déféré à nouveau, cette fois pour des propos tenus à Beyrouth, au Liban en soutien au peuple palestinien. De nouveau placé sous contrôle judiciaire il ne peut manifester, ni quitter la France et doit pointer une fois par semaine au commissariat. 

 

Son procès aura lieu le 14 septembre à Lyon, et le procès en appel aura lieu le 26 octobre a Paris pour sa première affaire.

Na tarde do dia 3 de setembro, foi puxada uma mobilização em favor dos porteiros da UFF, que de forma justa estão denunciando a empresa de terceirização (soluções) que saiu do contrato sem pagar o retroativo do reajuste salarial e o adicional de insalubridade, o que deveria ser um direito dos terceirizados, vem sendo negado a eles por parte da empresa Gaia.

Os porteiros após a paralisação vem sofrendo perseguições, assédio e demissões no ambiente de trabalho por parte dos supervisores que continuaram no cargo mesmo após a troca de empresas no contrato, além disso, o sindicato dos porteiros negou apoio a essa paralisação, gerando mais força para essas perseguições.

Por isso, diretórios acadêmicos e o sindicato se servidores da UFF (SINTUFF) se juntaram para fazer um ato em apoio aos terceirizados, puxado pelo coletivo Invisíveis, Novo Mepr e RPE (Resistência Popular Estudantil) após a agitação próximo ao bandejão 1 do Campus Gragoatá, o ato seguiu em direção a reitoria. Após a chegada na reitoria, foi feita uma comissão com um representante de cada entidade ali presente, no momento em que estavam entrando nos elevadores, os seguranças barraram a subida de forma bem truculenta, puxando o representante do SINTUFF pela camisa, diante disso, os estudantes ali presentes ocuparam o hall enquanto o integrante do SINTUFF tentava um diálogo para que fosse feira uma audiência com a reitoria, entretanto, como sempre o reitor não estava presente, então foi tirada uma reunião entre os diretórios, DCE e SINTUFF para pressionar a reitoria, que se comprometa em fazer uma audiência pública para que se resolva esse absurdo cometido contra os porteiros

Interview au Monde de Sophie Binet : il est urgent d’attendre les élections !

N° 994 02/09/2026 Nous avons suivi et commenté le récent congrès de la CGT, nous alertions sur la conversion assumée à la collaboration de classe. La récente interview (28 août) au Monde, de Sophie Binet, sa secrétaire-générale, confirme, on ne peut après l’appel plus creux du CCN de la CGT fin août qu’il n’est plus question de lutter contre le Capital, mais il est urgent d’attendre.

 

Dans son chapeau avant interview, le ou la journaliste du Monde écrit ceci : « La secrétaire générale de la CGT s’inquiète de la "torpeur" du pays dans le contexte inédit d’une extrême droite proche du pouvoir par les urnes et veut saturer le débat sur les questions sociales afin d’empêcher une victoire du Rassemblement national (RN). ». Il serait aisé de lui répondre que beaucoup de travailleurs s’inquiètent de la torpeur de la CGT depuis pas mal de mois face aux attaques sans précédent menées par le relais principal de la classe dominante, l’exécutif macroniste allant de Hollande à Retailleau et parfois de Tondelier à Le Pen, au moment où se construit la destruction finale de tous les conquis sociaux de 45, à commencer par la Sécurité sociale. Cela d’ailleurs se vérifie dans cette intention de « saturer le débat » et pas d’organiser la riposte de classe contre la Bourgeoisie capitaliste et ses fondés de pouvoir. La mise sous l’éteignoir de la lutte des classes nourrit toutes les idéologies participant au jeu (bien fourni en apparence) de la classe dominante, à savoir tous les partis politiques représentés au Parlement, et pas mal au-delà. Ayant, dans le discours, depuis le dernier congrès et, dans les faits depuis un an, après la destruction de la riposte initiée le 10 septembre 2025, substitué la lutte contre « l’extrême-droite » à la lutte de classes contre le Capital, la CGT est désormais franchement sur la route de la collaboration de classe et cette interview ne démentira en quoi que ce soit cet état de fait objectif.

106 years of the Communist Party of Great Britain

The 31st of July 2026 marks the 106th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Great Britain, the party of and for the liberation of the working class. 

The Party was formed from the most advanced, militant sections of the powerful industrial workers movement of the time. They understood workers could only achieve true political power by forming their own Party capable of successfully leading workers in their combative struggle for socialism and liberation. 

Whilst many claim the name of the “Communist Party” today, our class has remained without its vanguard since the loss of the CPGB as a revolutionary force due to revisionism. Reconstituting the Communist Party means decisively rejecting the path of elections and reformism, instead taking up the arduous task of developing revolutionary leadership in the many fronts of class struggle. 

The Communist Party is a party of a new type. It must be able to weather the brutal repression of the ruling class whilst organising mass, revolutionary class-combat in service of the People. We do not commit ourselves to this task because it is easy, but because it is the unavoidable task that revolutionaries must take to achieve Socialist Revolution in Britain. 

As the ranks of the proletarian and anti-imperialist movements continue to grow across the country, this statement of unity demonstrates the growing call of revolutionaries to recognise and take up the task of reconstituting the Communist Party on the path to Socialist Revolution. The revolutionary road is being taken once again. We will not stop until liberation.
