Announcement of the communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan on Occasion of death of comrade Zahir

The Central Committee of the C(M)PA with deep sorrow informs all cadres, members,
supporters of the C(M)PA inside and outside of the country, other Afghanistan Maoists, and
Maoist parties and organizations in other countries of the world of the news of the death of
Comrade “Zahir”, head of the basic unit …………. of 7th Qaus reginal committee.
Comrade Zahir passed away on November 7, 2023 at the age of 63. Although this revolutionary comrade is
no longer among us, his memory will remain forever among the members of the party and other
revolutionaries of the country who knew him.
Comrade Zahir was one of the active and warrior comrades of the C(M)PA, who after the death of Comrade
Ghasemi took charge of the basic unit …...... of 7th Qaus reginal committee and until a month ago, when
he was afflicted with liver disease, This task advanced. Even though Comrade Zahir illness for a month, he
did not forget his struggle duties in any way. A few days before his passing, he submitted the party
documents to the responsible comrades and gave a detailed and timely report on the progress of his duties
and responsibilities.
Comrade Zahir was born in 1960 in a hardworking peasant family. He successfully completed elementary,
intermediate and high school education and after passing the national entrance exam in 1978 entered the
Faculty of Economics of Kabul University.
Comrade Zaher was one of the activists of the new democratic movement inside Kabul University in 1978-
1979. He joined the Afghan People's Liberation Organization (APLO) in 1979, and merged with the
Afghanistan Liberation Organization after the collapse of APLO. But the ideological and political positions of
the above-mentioned two organizations (APLO&ALO) did not respond to his revolutionary thirst and
principled struggling spirit, until finally joined the C(M)PA in 2012. He got his main struggling position in the
party after a lot of campaigning effort and continued his duties with revolutionary enthusiasm and honesty
until the end of his life. He never left the country. He lived among his people and died among the people.

Let's turn the sadness caused by the death of Comrade Zahir into a struggling force and keep his memory
alive and lasting as a Maoist revolutionary.
