Republicamos aqui a nota, do dia 25 de maio de 2025, do Comitê Internacional de Apoio à Guerra Popular na Índia (CIAGPI) sobre o martírio do camarada Basavaraj.

O Comitê Internacional de Apoio à Guerra Popular na Índia (CIAGPI) saúda o camarada Keshava Rao, Basavaraj, Secretário Geral do CPI (Maoista), assassinado pelas forças repressivas do regime fascista de Modi, capacho do imperialismo, juntamente com 26 outros quadros maoístas na floresta de Abuijhmad, distrito de Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, no dia 21 de maio.

Esta é uma enorme perda para o Partido, o Exército Guerrilheiro Popular de Libertação, o proletariado e as massas da Índia envolvidas na guerra popular, para o Movimento Comunista Internacional, para os proletários, os explorados e os povos oprimidos do mundo.

O camarada Basavaraj foi o fundador do Exército Guerrilheiro Popular em 2000 e liderou como Comandante as ações mais importantes da guerra popular nos últimos anos, desferindo golpes audaciosos contra o regime reacionário indiano e o imperialismo. Seu papel na formação das Bases Guerrilheiras e no nascimento das Organizações do Poder Popular foi crucial.

Basavraj tornou-se o secretário-geral do Partido em 2018. Ele foi formado pelo Partido e pelas massas, sempre dando um exemplo extraordinário de bravura, sabedoria e determinação. Ele foi um mestre da Guerra Popular e deu sua vida pela revolução.

Ele nunca será esquecido!

O regime indiano de Modi assassinou os camaradas como parte da ‘Operação Kagaar’, uma campanha genocida de repressão, massacres, prisões, bombardeios e devastação sobre o povo, particularmente as massas mais oprimidas e exploradas, os Adivasis, etc., dentro de um plano que visa exterminar a Guerra Popular e o Partido que a lidera até março de 2026.

Agora eles gritam vitória, mas as massas indianas e o Partido sabem como responder a esse ataque com estratégias e táticas adequadas, fortalecendo e ampliando a resistência e a mobilização das massas.

O Comitê já havia lançado uma campanha de solidariedade e apoio internacionalista de um ano, realizando uma primeira semana de ação bem-sucedida de 7 a 12 de abril.

A morte do camarada Basavraj nos convoca, também em sua honra e nome, a multiplicar nossos esforços para que esta campanha seja ainda mais forte e ampla e contribua para desferir duros golpes contra o regime indiano e o imperialismo; ainda mais porque está intrinsecamente ligada à solidariedade internacional com o povo palestino, que enfrentam heroicamente o plano genocida de Israel e do imperialismo – Netanyahu é apoiado de todas as formas pelo reacionário regime de Modi – e faz parte da luta do proletariado e dos povos contra a guerra imperialista.

Honrar em todas as formas o camarada Basavraj!

Intensificar a mobilização e as ações contra a Operação Kagaar, pela libertação dos prisioneiros políticos na Índia!

Ampliar o apoio à Guerra Popular na Índia e ao Partido Comunista da Índia (Maoista), como importante ponto de referência internacional para a luta de libertação dos povos oprimidos pelo imperialismo, pela revolução proletária mundial, socialismo e comunismo!

The International Committee to Support the People's War in India (ICSPWI) salute Comrade Keshava Rao, Basavaraj, General Secretary of the CPI (Maoist), murdered by the repressive forces of the fascist Modi’s regime, lackey to imperialism, along with 26 other Maoist cadres in the Abuijhmad forest, Narayanpur district, Chhattisgarh on May 21.

This is a huge loss for the Party, the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army, the proletariat and masses of India engaged in the people's war, for the International Communist Movement, for the proletarians, the exploited and the oppressed peoples in the world.

CPI (Maoist) Dandakaranya Special Region Committee announced that Comrade Nambala Keshav Rao (Basavaraj), the leader of the Indian revolutionary movement and General Secretary of CPI (Maoist), along with 27 comrades, including members of the Central Committee and party members, announced that they were immortalised in the massacre carried out on 21 May 2025 in the Mad region. We bow with respect before the immortal memories of Comrade Basavaraj, the leader of the Indian revolution, and the 27 people's warriors, and we remember them with gratitude. We condemn the massacre carried out by the reactionary rulers of India and their army, and we salute the CPI (Maoist) and the red resistance, which persistently continue the revolutionary struggle under extremely harsh conditions.

We are going through a process in which the rulers of the imperialist capitalist system are driving the world and humanity towards total destruction in order to overcome the crisis they are in and expand their hegemony. In the wars waged by the imperialist blocs for world hegemony, the peoples of the world are being subjected to death, hunger, poverty, in other words, total savagery. This bloody system, which is fuelling the anger of the people day by day, has mobilised all its resources to prevent the great uprising of the people.
