A few days ago, we knew about the murder of Nambala Keshava Rao, better known as Comrade Basavaraj, who was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). He was martyred along with 26 other comrades from his Party during a massacre committed by the fascist regime of Narendra Modi.

His assassination took place on May 21 in the Abhujmad area of Chhattisgarh state, and it occurs in the context of the counterinsurgency “Operation Kagaar,” which is unleashed by the reactionary classes of India and its Hindutva-Brahmanical State, with the backing of both U.S. imperialism and Russian imperialism, which are competing for absolute control of the country and the region.

RSU Joins FACAM in Denouncing Indian State’s Bloody Repression of Revolutionaries

Revolutionary Student Union has received a communication today from the Forum Against Corporatization and Militarization (FACAM) on the vile and bloody massacre against 27 revolutionary comrades of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). This massacre is part of the Operation Kagar, which is orchestrated by the Indian State aiming at eliminating Maoist-led resistance to the reactionary regime. Comrade Basavaraj, the General Secretary of CPI (Maoist), who was kidnapped by the Indian State when seeking medical treatments was murdered among other martyrs.

The revolutionary struggle of the Indian masses, under the leadership of their party, CPI (Maoist), is a great example for all revolutionaries, workers, youth, and oppressed peoples around the world. Although the fascist Indian state repeatedly attempted to wipe out the Maoists and the masses who support them with massacres and extermination campaigns, the Indian revolutionary movement keeps carrying its committed struggle forward. Indian students and youth were always active participants in this struggle for equality and socialism, who gave up their privileges and joined the struggle of Indian peasants and workers in the jungle and the countryside, shedding blood to defend and advance people’s rights and power.

Revolutionary Student Union condemns this massacre and calls on the Indian state to end its brutal campaign of extermination in Bastar and the whole country. We pay our tribute to the revolutionary students and youth in India, and vow to take them as our example to develop the anti-imperialist and revolutionary struggle in the United States. We stand with the workers and the oppressed masses in their revolutionary struggle to end all exploitation and oppression they face and call on all revolutionary and anti-imperialist students and youth in the United States and across the world to engage in solidarity and actions to condemn this massacre conducted by the fascist Indian State and stand with FACAM and CPI (Maoist).

İsviçre’de asılan pankartta gerici Hint devletinin saldırıları protesto edildi. Zürih, Basel ve Biel’de “Kahrolsun Hint Gericiliği! Basavaraj ve Halk Savaşçıları Ölümsüzdür!” şiarlı pankart ve afişler asıldı. Ayrıca Fransa’nın Lyon ve Hollanda’nın Den Haag kentinde “Basavaraj Yoldaş Ölümsüzdür!”, “Halk Savaşçıları Ölümsüzdür!”, “Yaşasın HKP (Maoist)”, “Naxalbari Zindabad!” yazılamaları yapıld

21 Mayıs günü ölümsüzleşen HKP (Maoist) Genel Sekreteri Basavaraj ve 27 Maoist İtalya’nın Roma ve Milano kentlerinde anıldı.

Uluslararası Hindistan’da Halk Savaşını Destekleme Komitesi tarafından Roma’da bulunan Hindistan Büyükelçiliği önünde yapılan eylemde “Kahrolsun Faşist Modi Rejimi! 21 Mayıs Katliamını Lanetle! Şan ve Şeref Olsun Basavaraj Yoldaş ve Tüm Maoistlere!” yazılı pankart açıldı. Katliamın teşhiri ve Maoistlerle dayanışma mesajını içeren açıklama okundu. Buradaki eylem, yeni güvenlik yasasına karşı gelişen eylemlere de taşındı. Eylem boyunca birçok noktaya katliamı teşhir eden ve Hindistan’daki Halk Savaşıyla dayanışmayı içeren afiş ve dövizler asıldı.

Yine Milano’da bulunan Hindistan Konsolosluğu önünde nöbet eylemi gerçekleştirilerek katliam lanetlendi. Aynı gün gerçekleştirilen Filistin direnişiyle dayanışma eyleminde de Basavaraj ve 27 Maoist’i selamlayan pankart ve dövizler taşındı, birçok noktaya afiş asıldı. Faşist Hindistan devletini lanetlemek ve Namballa Kesava Rao, Sajja Nagesware Rao ve 26 HKGO üyesi yoldaşları anmak amaçlı 30 Mayıs Cuma günü bir eylem gerçekleştirildi. Hindistan Konsolosluğu önünde gerçekleştirilen eyleme, Türkiyeli devrimci yapılarla birlikte, Avusturyalı örgütler de katıldı.

Almanca, Türkçe ve İngilizce yapılan konuşmalarda, Hindistan devleti ve Modi hükümeti teşhir edilirken, emperyalistlerle olan ilişkileri, “Kagar Operasyonu” adıyla başlatılan karşı devrimci saldırının amacı ortaya kondu. Aynı zamanda Rao yoldaşların mücadeledeki yerleri anlatıldı. Konuşmalar arasında atılan sloganlarda enternasyonal dayanışma öne çıkarılırken, emperyalizme ve faşizme karşı mücadeleye vurgu yapıldı.

La masacre perpetrada el 21 de mayo de 2025 en la región india de Narayanpur por el régimen fascista de Modi es uno de los ejemplos más sangrientos de la guerra de agresión que libra el imperialismo contra los pueblos del mundo. El martirio del Camarada Basava Raju, Secretario General del Partido Comunista de la India (Maoísta) y gran comandante de la guerra popular, junto con 27 luchadores del pueblo, no es solo un ataque contra el pueblo indio, sino también un ataque contrarrevolucionario multifacético dirigido contra el movimiento revolucionario mundial, los pueblos oprimidos y la clase obrera. Las vidas de Basava Raju y sus camaradas son la viva imagen del marxismo-leninismo-maoísmo. No son simplemente dirigentes de un país, sino pioneros del camino de la humanidad hacia la liberación. Así como las guerras populares en todo el mundo han infundido miedo en el imperialismo, la guerra que se libra en la India arde como una antorcha de resistencia en el corazón del sistema imperialista.

El Estado indio, con su aparato represivo fascista a nivel nacional y con el apoyo militar, tecnológico y de inteligencia de los centros imperialistas en el extranjero, ha atacado a la dirección del pueblo. En este ataque, ha buscado no solo eliminar a los cuadros revolucionarios, sino también borrar la conciencia histórica de resistencia entre el pueblo.
