The meeting is being held with a goal
to bring people together to demand-
– Unconditional release of Chhatradhar Mahato and five others who have been convicted on 11th May and meted out life sentences. The convention will mark two months of that draconian sentence.
– Release of political prisoners elsewhere in India, including people still held under TADA, detained under PSA (in Kashmir), Maruti workers, Muslim youth including the large number of undertrials in Purvanchal (UP) and political activists like Maudany, Communists including Saibaba, Hem Mishra, artists including Kabir Kala Manch and all others
– Scrapping of the draconian UAPA, AFSPA, PSA and the Sedition act
