Kathmandu, January 13, 2021: Police have arrested
Dharmendra Bastola, chief of Western Command of Netra Bikram Chand
‘Biplav’-led Communist Party of Nepal(CPN) from the bordering area of
Makwanpur and Lalitpur districts on Tuesday afternoon, confirmed a
senior police officer.
The arrested Bastola is a secretariat member and the chief of foreign relations department of the outlawed party.
Likewise, Bibek Kumal considered close to the Chand-led party’s
spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma “Prakanda” has also been
arrested along with Bastola.
Police have also arrested Prakash Shahi and another leader named Biswas along with Bastola, police sources said.
