Bhadradri Kothagudem District, August 5, 2023: The CPI (Maoist) organized a massive public meeting on the borders of the Dandakaranya region and Telangana state on August 2 and 3 as part of the Maoist party’s Martyrs’ Week, commemorated annually from July 28 to August 3.

A memorial built in honor of deceased Maoist leader Katakam Sudarshan alias Anand was inaugurated during the meeting.

The BJP government at the Centre and the RSS are trying to create a fascist Hindu state in the country and the masses of people in the country have to fight against it, the Maoists said, adding that the ethnic clashes between the Kuki and Meitei peoples were triggered by Brahmanical Hindutva Fascist forces under the pretext of the Meitei’s demand for Scheduled Tribe status for their community.

Cultural programmes by Chaitanya Natya Manch and Jana Natya Mandali were organized for two days. The families of Maoist martyrs were introduced to the public, they added.
