event of March 8 International Working Women's Day - Innsbruck - info

The last event of March 8, International Working Women's Day, in Innsbruck, Austria, was celebrated at the Hall in Wörgl.

Organized by the Innsbruck Women's Network and Democratic Women's Organizations, March 8 International Working Women's Day witnessed various demonstrations and events with a 3-week action planning. In these events, presentations and speeches were made about women's struggle, their rights, violence and oppression against women, and anti-democratic practices. In addition to the music concerts, brochures, leaflets, books, meals and coffee were offered at the stands.

She took part in various events and marches on March 8, International Working Women's Day, of which she was the organizer of the Purple Red Collective . Wörgl also celebrated the 8 March International Working Women's Night, which she organized privately .

At the night, which started at 13.00 on March 17, first a moment of silence and an opening speech were made.

The opening speech is summarized as follows; The imperialist system, with its decaying capital, corrupting culture, two-faced democracy, and structure whose other character is war, is the production center of all kinds of reactionism that usurps the rights and freedom of us women and drags us into the vortex of male-dominated violence. The alliances it has established with feudal powers in its semi-colonies are hostile to women. Armament, war politics and the escalating chauvinism in their own countries also culturally base male domination and feed misogyny. It is for us to be content with what is, to accept their exploitative, blood-sucking, misogynist systems, including male domination, that they put in our mouth so that we can accept our fate.

We will not accept it. We will not agree. We will not give up on our struggle. We will not be satisfied with limited, token rights.

There will be no salvation for working women until the source of exploitation, violence, poverty, poverty, aggression and unjust wars is dried up. We will expand our fight with the awareness of full salvation, not with less. We will shape our fight with a revolutionary spirit, not a liberal spirit.

For this reason, March 8 is neither just "women's day" nor a tool of capitalism's consumer culture. March 8; It is a call to fight against imperialist unjust wars.
It is a call to revolt against the double exploitation and oppression experienced by working women. It is a call to expand revolutionary women's organization and struggle in this period when exploitation increases and slavery laws are imposed.

It is a call to fight against all impositions of patriarchal culture, religious reactionism, and all kinds of discrimination. It is a call to organize against state violence against communist, revolutionary and progressive women in prisons, under custody and on the streets.

As Purple Red Collective, we will continue to celebrate March 8, International Working Women's Day,  with all our enthusiasm in the streets and squares, by challenging "disappointment and despair" , breaking down misogyny, turning to imperialist plunder and exploitation, and never allowing fascism and feudalism to chain us...
