**International Workers' Solidarity Day was Celebrated in Kamrangirchar, Dhaka**

On May 1, International Workers' Solidarity Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Revolutionary Workers' Movement(Biplobi Sromik Andolan)  and the Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement(Biplobi Chattro-Jubo Andolan) in Kamrangirchar, Dhaka. At 4:00 PM, a rally was held at Kamrangirchar Jhawla Hati Chourasta with banners and red flags. Comrade Biplab Bhattacharjee, convener of the Revolutionary Workers' Movement, and Comrade Razzak, joint-convener of the Revolutionary Workers' Movement, addressed the gathering. Jafar Hossain, the president of the New Democratic People's Forum, also spoke at the rally. Later, another procession was organized from Chourasta to Noyagaon Mor echoing with slogans, where Comrade Tawfika Priya, acting president of the Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement, delivered a speech.

The speakers emphasized that in 1886, workers had demanded an 8-hour workday, 8 hours of rest, and 8 hours of recreation. Although Workers' Solidarity Day was established in memory of the four workers who were killed while protesting for these rights, the current capitalist class continues to ignore their demands. Garment workers in Bangladesh still work 12-14 hours a day. When the workers demanded gradual increases in wages based on the rising cost of living, they were met with violence and as a consequence a female worker along with 4 others were killed. Construction workers, transport workers, domestic workers, and tea workers—all sectors—are still oppressed and exploited. The lives of farmers along with workers of all sectors are also in dire straits. There is no self-interest among the people in the Hasina-Awami fascist government’s mass-opposing development. The rally in Kamrangirchar denounced the Awami fascist government’s treacherous developmental plan and strongly demanded an end to the eviction of 26,000 slum dwellers and nearly 1.6 million people.

The speakers concluded that the current state system is incapable of granting freedom to workers, peasants, and the middle-class population. Only under the leadership of the working class, guided by Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, can true human liberation be achieved. Therefore, all sections of society, including workers, farmers, students, teachers, and intellectuals, are urged to actively participate in the struggle for new democratic revolution.

Finally, the procession starts from Noyagaon Mor and ends after reaching Jhawla Hati Chourasta. Slogans such as "Marx-Lenin-Maoism, the ideology of workers' liberation," "Who are the owners of the whole world? Farmers, workers and proletariat," "Down with the Awami Fascist regime, let it fall," "Down with all imperialisms, including the United States," "Down with Indian expansionism," "Down with Israeli Zionism, let it fall," "Stop the genocide in Palestine," "Kamrangirchar eviction will not be tolerated in the name of Awami development," and "From the mountains to the plains, we will struggle with the same intensity." were chanted during the procession. The rally concluded at 5:00 PM.
