Philippine Revolution Web Central (PRWC) has reported of several military operations conducted by the New People’s Army (NPA) over the past week.
Red fighters of the NPA-Western Samar (Arnolfo Ortiz Command) eliminated two AFP Intelligence Service (ISAFP) soldiers in Barangay Babaclayon, San Jose de Buan, Samar.
According to PRWC “at least 20 military troops had been operating in the community for three days that day.”
The NPA-Northern Negros (Roselyn Jean Pelle Command) seized two pistols from a military intelligence asset and a police officer in armed actions on December 7.
PRWC reports that Ugdiman, who the military action was targeting was “an active military spy in the community and served as a guide for military operations. He was also involved in harassing civilians whom the military suspected of being linked to the revolutionary movement.”
While the unit retreated, they encountered civilian-clad assets of 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (NOCPFMC) and an encounter ensued, which lead to the elimination of Police Senior Master Sergeant Rommel Aguilar, who was found with a 9mm pistol and ammunition.
