Comrade Suguluri Chinanna alias Bhavanasi Shankar was killed in an encounter that was reported to have occurred in the Kanker border committee area. Chinanna from Vadlaramapuram village of Atmakuru Mandal of East Kurnool district, on August 13th.
Comrade Bhavanasi Shankar. planted movements in Vadla Ramapuram village of Atmakuru Mandal of Nandyala district, walking relentlessly from Nalla Malla to Chhattisgarh Abujmad forests with tribal people and performing duties as a member of Dandakaranya special zone committee. His death was a major shock for the people of Kurnool district. He left a wife two sons, four brothers, and one sister. Since 1990, the inception of the movement waged against the corruption of the forest officers in the village coincided and was triggered with the introduction of the People's War Party, in the Atmakuru area. The people of that area assembled against the restrictions of the land owners gang, with Comrade Bhavanasi emerging as the leader of the area farmer labourer’s association. Severe detention conditions in 9596 areas were imposed.,Bhavnasi joined the movement as a member of the building construction site and operated as an area committee secretary, Nallamalla Divisional Committee
Chinnanna symbolised the path of revolutionary resistance with unwavering tenacity for three decades to another consciousness. Suguluri Chinanna alias Naganna alias Vijay alias Shankar, Rajnand Gao were killed in an encounter that is said to have happened in the Kanker border committee area. Chinanna from Vadlaramapuram village of Atmakuru Mandal of East Kurnool district started his revolutionary start in 1992 as a member of the common village farmer laborers association and worked committedly in various party committees as the member of the area committee president Bhavanasi Dalam and as a commander in various party committee. He was a member of the Kankar border special zonal committee. Probably he is the last among those who made their way into the party from Kurnool district in those days.
A militant protest rally and memorial programmed was staged in memory of this legendary comrade.

People's War first generation leader Adolapuram Bikshapathi (73) died of heart attack on Tuesday night. He was the direct witness to Girayipalli encounter.
