With deep sorrow and profound grief, we have received the news of the passing of Comrade Ka Louie.
We hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to the comrades of the Communist Party of the Philippines, the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, the progressive forces, workers, peasants, committed intellectuals, and all the fighters of the people’s liberation struggle who are engaged in the trenches of the armed struggle in the Philippines.
The life of Comrade Ka Louie, as reflected in the documents of the Communist Party of the Philippines, was marked by more than several decades of tireless struggle against imperialist and national oppression. His commitment to advancing the new democratic revolution, especially through armed struggle and other forms of resistance, including peace negotiations, spanned both national and international arenas and continued until his passing at the age of 90.
Comrade Ka Louie joined the political struggle in the Philippines at the age of 32 and became a member of the Communist Party of the Philippines. From that moment until his final breath, he devoted his life to the revolutionary cause.
Let us transform the grief over the loss of Comrade Ka Louie into renewed determination to advance the armed struggle in the Philippines. This struggle embodies his achievements and enduring ideals.
We stand with the comrades of the Communist Party of the Philippines, and remain committed — based on proletarian internationalism — to advancing ideological and political struggles for the establishment of an international conference of Marxist – Leninist – Maoist parties and organizations. With firm resolve, we will continue this work through organization-building and class consciousness.
