Abdus Shaheed, an organizer of the revolutionary students’ union of the 1960s, and one of the country’s leading Maoist intellectuals, and a lifelong revolutionary principal, has passed away. He died at his home in Kalikapur village of Dapunia, Mymensingh Sadar, at the age of 87 due to old age-related illness at 5 pm today (Tuesday).

Principal Abdus Shaheed believed in the communist revolutionary ideology of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. He suffered imprisonment and much torture while working for this ideology and remained faithful to this ideology until his death. He was associated with it since the formation of the East Bengal Workers’ Movement in 1968. At that time, he was in the presence of the great revolutionary leader Comrade Siraj Sikder. He was a teacher by profession. He started his teaching career as the headmaster of Muktagachha Nabarun High School in Mymensingh and then became the headmaster of Khagdahar High School in Mymensingh Sadar. He then started teaching in colleges, teaching at Phulpur College. From there, he became the vice-principal of Purbadhala College and then the acting principal. After Purbadhala, he served as the principal of Shyamganj College and from there, Atpara Teligati College. From there, he resigned and joined Rangpur Mahiganj Degree College as a principal, and after ending his teaching career there, he served as a sub-editor of the country’s renowned English newspaper, The Independent. While in his teaching career, he inspired the youth in various parts of the country to revolutionary politics. In this way, he produced a large number of revolutionary political workers.

Despite having the opportunity, he abandoned the charm of urban comfort and ease and was living a simple life in the village with his life partner. When his wife died two years ago, he was living alone in his village house. Many people who believe in dialectical materialism make various compromises at some point in their lives. At the end of their lives, they take refuge in religion. Comrade Abdus Shaheed was an exception. He remained steadfast in his beliefs until his last breath.

The New Democratic People’s Front has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Comrade Abdus Shaheed and extends its condolences to his bereaved family and relatives.

SOLIDARITE AVEC LE PEUPLE DU ROJAVA ! - ATIK

towards Bruxelles 27january - Against Operation Kagar and the Targeted Killings of Revolutionaries and Communists in India

Credit: facam.org

RedAnt strongly condemns the brutal violence unleashed by the Indian state through Operation Kagar in central India against the cadres of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), who have waged an armed struggle against the Indian ruling class. Over the past two years, the intensity and brutality of this war on the masses has increased to such an extent that more than 400 people — including Maoist political activists and ordinary villagers — have been killed at the hands of state armed forces. Allegations suggest that many of them were captured alive and then killed in cold blood after a few hours. This is a grave violation of both Indian and international law.

Revolutionaries are well aware that advancing a revolutionary war requires the highest sacrifices. However, in the name of countering Maoism, the Brahmanical Hindutva-fascist BJP regime continues to carry out genocidal massacres, which must be immediately stopped. The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, has set March 2026 as the deadline to make India “Maoist-free.” This has meant a large-scale proliferation of security camps in Bastar, the use of advanced warfare equipment including Israeli drones, and unmitigated extra-judicial violence by the state.

Reportedly, since 2019, a total of 290 security camps have been set up in the affected states. This alarming militarisation of Bastar has been met with peaceful and sustained protests by Adivasis against the establishment of security camps in Fifth Schedule Areas without any consultation or consent from the concerned Gram Sabhas, and the illegal appropriation of their forests, lands, and other resources. They have also demanded proper schools, health facilities, and other basic amenities. The state government responded by banning a people’s rights organisation, the Moolvasi Bachao Manch, in October 2024 under the draconian Chhattisgarh Special Public Security Act.

Rojava Is Resistance – It Cannot Be Subjugated! -

ok comrades - Rojava is resistance .. but it is not revolution... maoistroad

Rojava Is Resistance – It Cannot Be Subjugated!

The Rojava Revolution is facing a new military assault by international and regional reactionary forces. In a region like the Middle East, subjected to wars, occupations, and massacres carried out by imperialists and regional reactionary powers, the Autonomous Administration -an important bastion of resistance that has adopted a progressive, people-oriented line centered on women’s liberation- is being targeted for liquidation and for being rendered “acceptable” to imperialist and regional reactionary forces.

To this end, on the one hand, the attacks of the HTS gangs declared as the Syrian Transitional Administration are being facilitated; on the other hand, pressure is being exerted on the Autonomous Administration through various diplomatic negotiations.

It is clear that behind this attack on the Autonomous Administration stand the imperialists and regional reactionary forces, foremost among them the Turkish state. Indeed, it is no coincidence that these attacks were launched on the very same day as the attacks on the Şêxmeqsûd and Eşrefiyê neighborhoods of Aleppo -where Kurds have lived for centuries- on January 6, immediately following the agreement between the Syrian Transitional Administration and Israel, in which the Turkish state also took part, signed in Paris, the capital of France.

With the Salafi-jihadist HTS gangs being brought to power in Syria, the policy of massacre first directed at Alawites and Druze has now been turned against the Kurdish people and the Rojava Revolution. Neighborhoods in Aleppo where hundreds of thousands of people live have been placed under siege, and attacks have been launched with Turkey’s provocation and the approval of the United States and Israel. An international concept targeting the status and gains achieved by the peoples of the region, first and foremost the Kurdish nation, through the Rojava Revolution, has been put into operation.

Against the attacks by HTS gang groups -coordinated and supported by the Turkish state- on the Şêxmeqsûd, Eşrefiyê, and Benî Zêd neighborhoods of Aleppo, where Kurds predominantly live, the Şêxmeqsûd Internal Security Forces announced that they would defend their communities and resist to prevent the massacre of civilians. Despite their small numbers and inadequate weaponry, these resistance forces demonstrated significant resistance for five days.

towards Bruxelles 27th january - CASR Condemns the Extrajudicial Killing of CPI (Maoist) Leader Madvi Hidma; Rule of Law Cannot Be Suspended in Bastar

Nov 21, 2025

On 18 November 2025, Madvi Hidma, the youngest member of the Central Committee of the CPI (Maoist) and an Adivasi from Bastar, was murdered in a fake encounter along with his wife Rajakka and five other members of the party. Hidma and the others were illegally abducted when they were unarmed, from a shelter where they had been staying since the 28th of last month. They were then tortured and murdered in a fake encounter. This is a brazen violation of the rule of law, constitutional safeguards, and past Supreme Court directives.

Since the beginning of Operation Kagaar on 1 January 2024, the Brahmanical Hindutva Fascist Indian state has stepped up its killing spree in Bastar and other Adivasi areas. In its bid to crush the armed and unarmed mass movements going on against corporate plunder of natural resources and displacement in Central India, it has killed over 500 people, which includes armed and unarmed Maoists and civilians. It has made a mockery of the rule of law and civil and democratic rights.

In all these encounters and extrajudicial killings, the Indian state has repeatedly violated Article 21 of the Indian Constitution, which guarantees the right to life with dignity to every citizen. In the judgment of Om Prakash & Ors. vs. State of Jharkhand (2012), the Supreme Court said that “fake encounters are nothing but state-sponsored terrorism.” And in Prakash Kadam vs. Ramprasad Vishwanath Gupta (2011), it stated, “fake encounters are nothing but cold-blooded brutal murders by persons who are supposed to uphold the law.” In PUCL vs. State of Maharashtra (2014), the Supreme Court held that every encounter death must be treated as a case of culpable homicide and investigated through an independent FIR, a magisterial inquiry, full forensic preservation of evidence, and immediate NHRC intimation. The Court made clear that police cannot act as judge, jury, and executioner, and that the right to life under Article 21 applies even to insurgents and accused persons.

 🪧 'Stop Operation Kagaar' Protest
📍 Indian Consulate, 2 Darnley Rd, Birmingham B16 8TE
🕰️ January 27th, 4PM
More details to follow

There will be two protests the same day in Brussels, to coincide with both a India-EU summit and the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee - Human Rights Subcommittee. These protests have been called by the International Emergency Campaign Against Operation Kagaar. We, the Joint Committee to Stop Repression in India (JCSRI), are calling for progressives in Britain to also join in and make this an international day of action.

This is to oppose the Hindutva Brahminical Modi regime's full-fledged military operation named "Operation Kagaar" in central India - in the states of Chattisgarh, Telangana, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand - the so-called "tribal belt" where Adivasi populations live. Besides murders of CPI-Maoist members under illegal fake encounters - this assault serves to displace and genocide Adivasi populations to serve mining interests.

We must expose repression in India and oppose Britain and the EU's imperialist "free" trade deals with India which fuel this extractive violence. Operation Kagaar is being perpetrated to serve global imperialist interests and British companies and the British state are deeply complicit in various oppressions committed in and by India. The capitalists directly involved and benefitting include the infamous Adani Group - who are involved in colonising Palestine, for example their drone partnership with Elbit and even owning Haifa Port.

Stop Operation Kagaar!
Armed forces out of Adivasi areas!

towards Bruxelles 27th january - Global Solidarity Call to End State Militarization and Extrajudicial Killings in Resource-Rich Adivasi Regions in India

A global solidarity call to end extrajudicial killings in Bastar, institute an independent judicial inquiry into the circumstances of all the killings, and initiate dialogue and political engagement with the Adivasi communities.

Groundxero 10 December 2025

The Indian government claims that the recent encounter killings of Maoists leaders and cadres mark a turning point in its war on “Left-wing extremism.” But, behind the triumphant press conferences and choreographed spectacles lies a far darker reality: the systematic use of torture, fake encounters, and militarised terror against some of India’s most vulnerable citizens. What the State celebrates as victory in Bastar, Adivasi communities recognise as yet another chapter in a decades-long project to clear forested, mineral-rich lands for corporate plunder.

Bastar today is a laboratory for counterinsurgency—where constitutional rights are suspended, entire villages are treated as enemy territory, and the line between policing and warfare has been deliberately erased. The recent killings are not an aberration; they are the predictable outcome of a state policy that rewards extrajudicial killings over ensuring justice.

It is in response to this escalating state violence—and the near-complete collapse of institutional safeguards—that organisations across the world have issued the following statement for global solidarity with Adivasi communities.

Their demand is: end extrajudicial killings, institute an independent judicial inquiry into the circumstances of all the illegal killings, and initiate dialogue and political engagement with the Adivasi communities.

The full text of the statement is published below.

On 18 November 2025, the Indian State triumphantly declared the killing of Madvi Hidma, Indigenous Adivasi activist and Naxalite leader, along with his comrade and life partner, Madakam Raje, and eleven other people. With this military “victory,” the BJP Government reiterated it was successfully moving towards the Home Minister Amit Shah’s deadline of 31 March 2026 to end the Naxalite movement in India. This declaration is part of the BJP government’s repressive policies targeting Adivasis, Dalits, Muslims, Christians and other marginalized communities, to facilitate the expropriation of land and natural resources by capitalists close to the government.

We, the undersigned, unequivocally stand with the Adivasi villagers and human rights defenders, and India’s civil society, who have strongly noted that Hidma and the others were captured unarmed and taken to the Maredumilli forests, Alluri Sitarama Raju District, Andhra Pradesh, where they were tortured and killed extrajudicially in two groups over two days. Shortly before, Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister had “visited” Hidma’s village of Puvarti, Sukma District, Bastar Division. As a part of political performance and theatrics, they had food with his mother, Madvi Pojje, who then entreated Hidma to surrender.

On the Current Situation of the World and the Five Main Regions of Asia - Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan - 2

Overall Picture of South Asian Countries in the Current Situation

Asia is the heart of the contradictions of the contemporary world because: it is home to the largest population in the world; class polarization and the accumulation of class inequality (landless peasants and informal labor) have intensified deeply; major imperialist powers (U.S. imperialism, Russian imperialism, Chinese social-imperialism, Japan, and India) have an active and potential presence; and at the same time, national liberation, democratic, and Maoist movements are active across the region.

The final Maoist analysis concludes that South Asia remains highly susceptible to peasant revolutions. Based on research conducted by the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan, the current situation of South Asian countries can be briefly summarized as follows:

Although during the year 2025 heavy losses were inflicted on the cadres of the Central Committee and dear comrades of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), and the pressure of the fascist Indian state on areas under party control has increased, the Communist Party of India (Maoist) has resolutely rebuilt its organizational structure and continues its activities based on the people’s war.

The people’s war led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) remains active in the majority of forested and rural areas such as Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and other regions.

Due to the existence of deep class and national contradictions, India remains a “potential stage of the world revolution.” The hope of Maoist parties worldwide is that in 2026 this struggle will expand at the national level, focus on consolidating liberated zones, further develop the people’s war, and expand mass base areas.

First) India: (The Main Epicenter of Maoism in the Region)

According to the analysis of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), India is a “semi-colonial - semi-feudal” country, despite its apparent industrialization and democratic façade. Indian capitalism is not a national capitalism but a comprador capitalism dependent on global monopolies and multinational corporations, while the peasantry and working class continue to live in conditions of intensified poverty.

Second) Nepal

AND germany info about Bruxelles initiative -

Call for a European mobilization against Operation Kagaar and to denounce the EU's support for the Indian regime!

On January 26 and 27, the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee - Human Rights Subcommittee will meet in Brussels. We call on all sincere democrats, progressives, human rights groups, and those advocating for freedom of expression and religion, as well as revolutionaries of all political tendencies, to participate in a sit-in protest in front of the European Parliament and the Indian Embassy in Belgium.
In fact, since January 2024, the Indian regime of Narendra Modi has launched a full-fledged military operation called "Operation Kagaar" in central India, in the states of Chattisgarh, Talengana, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Jharkhand, the so-called "tribal belt" where the Adivasi populations live.
With the deployment of 60,000 paramilitary forces, air forces, drones, and armored vehicles, officially mobilized against the Communist Party of India (Maoist) with the goal of eliminating it "by March 31, 2026," Adivasi populations are being attacked to forcibly evict them from their lands for mining companies to establish.
Human rights groups in India denounce indiscriminate killings (including newborns and pregnant women) and rapings.
Operation Kagaar follows a similar military operation called "Operation Samadhan-Prahar" (2017-2023) in the same areas and using the same methods. This means that this military operation against Adivasi populations has been ongoing for seven years, with indiscriminate massacres in which entire villages are targeted and razed.
The Hindutva brahminical regime of Narendra Mondi directs such massacres by waving the bogeyman of "Maoist terrorism" using the draconian UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) of 1967, i.e. the anti-terrorism law to target all voices of dissent and political opponents. Just to name a few cases:

-For more than three years, journalist Rupesh Kumar Singh has been under arrest for his articles opposing the military campaigns parties or the Operation Samadhan-Prahar against the Adivasi people in the state of Jarkhand.

-the political prisoner Sanjoy Deepak Rao, a member of the CPI (Maoist) Central Committee, has been imprisoned for two years without trial and is denied basic prisoner rights, such as the right to leave his cell between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., while being granted only two hours a day. Sanjoy Deepak Rao went on hunger strike on October 28th.

-In May, journalist Rejaz Sydeek, 26, member of the Democratic Student Association, was arrested for his articles criticizing the Indian military operation against Pakistan and accused of various charges, including terrorism.

-Between July 11 and 21, nine people, mostly students, were arrested without warrants and taken to an undisclosed place where they were tortured and threatened with rape. These arrests were to obtain information about Vallika Varshri, editor of Nazariya (a leftist magazine), wanted by the police.

-Recently, approximately 50 people protesting at Indian Gate in New Delhi against the government's anti-environmental policies and Operation Kaagar, were arrested on charges of having ties with the Maoists.

-Finally, 97 percent of people arrested in India under the draconian Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). remain in prison without trial, sometimes for years.

Human rights groups report that Communist Party of India (Maoist) militants, once arrested, are often interrogated and tortured in secret locations and then killed in cold blood in isolated forest locations in fake clashes. This recently happened with Hidma and Ganesh militants, last November and December, respectively.

A report was recently published on the systematic use of torture against ordinary and political prisoners in prisons in the state of Bihar.

The Modi regime seeks to impose a single identity, "Hindutva", in a country of over 1.5 billion people, where 23 of the 179 official languages are officially registered (not counting over 1,650 dialects), various religions (including Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism, Islam, Christianity, Zoroastrianism), and various nationalities.
Hindutva is a supremacist ideology that advocates the establishment of a political regime throughout the Indian Union in which there should be a single religion, Hinduism, and a single language, Hindi. In a country as diverse as India in terms of ethnic, religious, and linguistic diversity, Modi's Hindutva government, led by the BJP, sponsors even more extremist groups such as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (of which Modi himself was a member) and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, which carry out attacks.

Indiscriminate against all minorities, particularly in the last 11 years since Narendra Modi came to power:

- pogroms targeting religious minorities have multiplied. The Muslim community has been affected in two major incidents: in Muzzaffarnagar in 2013, shortly before the elections, the local BJP orchestrated a massacre in which 42 Muslims lost their lives, and in 2020, just a year after the re-election of the Modi II government, 36 Muslims were killed in another similar incident in Delhi. Christian communities have not been spared too: they have faced ongoing intimidation and acts of violence, such as the desecration of a church in a locality near Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand.

- Other nationalities besides Hindus have been harshly repressed, particularly Kashmiris, who now live under military occupation. In 2019, the former federal state of Jammu and Kashmir was downgraded to a "union territory," meaning it is directly administered by the central government. In June 2018, a United Nations human rights report highlighted serious human rights abuses, which were confirmed in a subsequent 2019 report. Over 47,000 deaths have been recorded over the past 20 years. But also the nationalities of the northeast, such as in Assam and Manipur, and the Tamils in the south.

In addition to the violent attacks against these minorities, Hindutva ideology, being the expression of the upper Brahmin caste, attacks Dalits (the so-called casteless), who number 65 million in India. The Hindu religion holds Dalits separate from the rest of society and therefore suffers forms of segregation.
Modi's India, approaching a theocracy rather than a modern state, is implementing discriminatory state policies against Dalits, who, like the aforementioned social groups, are victims of discrimination, violence, and murder.
For all these reasons, the following are called for Tuesday, January 27:

-a sit-in protest in front of the European Parliament in Brussels at 10:00 AM;

-a sit-in in front of the Indian Embassy in Brussels at 14:00 PM.

Belgium report for the repression against 'secours rouge' and 'left extremism'

 secours rouge

Conditions are excellent for further advancing the people’s democratic revolution - Central Committee | Communist Party of the Philippines - english and spanish

Conditions are excellent for further advancing the people’s democratic revolution

With great joy, let us celebrate the 57th anniversary of the great Communist Party of the Philippines! On this historic occasion, the Central Committee extends its warmest greetings to all cadres and members of the Party, to members of allied revolutionary organizations of the National Democratic Front, to friends, fellow communist, revolutionary and anti-imperialist forces in different corners of the world, and to the entire Filipino people.

On this day, let us remember and honor all the heroes and martyrs of the Philippine revolution. Let us rise and, with clenched fists, pay tribute to the memory of Comrade Jose Maria Sison, founding chairman of the Central Committee, who served as guide and beacon of the Party and several generations of communist and revolutionary activists. Let us also pay tribute to the memory of all the heroes and martyrs of the Filipino people, including the most beloved leaders who served in the Central Committee, the Red fighters of the New People’s Army, and all the cadres and members who wholeheartedly dedicated their lives to the cause of liberation for all oppressed.

Let us salute Comrade Luis Jalandoni, former international representative of the NDFP and chief of the NDFP panel in peace talks, who passed away in June in The Netherlands; and Comrade Maria Malaya (Myrna Sularte), who was killed by the enemy in a battle in the mountains of Butuan City in February. Let us also extend our salutations to Comrade Basavaraju, former general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), and Comrade Madvi Hidma, commander of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army in India, and to all other revolutionaries around the world who gave their lives for the international proletariat. Let us draw inspiration from their glorious lives.

On this day, let us also greet all new members of the Party, especially the young cadres from the ranks of the toiling masses, intellectuals, and other sectors of society. You are the future of the Party and the Philippine revolution. Study hard, seek guidance, sharpen your minds, and be humble in facing the challenges of leadership in various fields of revolutionary work. You have the support of veteran and experienced cadres and members of the Party who are willing to offer advice and share their experiences.

Let us today raise the banner of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, the solid theoretical foundation on which the Party stands. This is the universal theory for the liberation of the working class and all oppressed classes. Let us consolidate the basic principles of the Party and its program for a people’s democratic revolution through a protracted people’s war, to end the oppressive semicolonial and semifeudal system, overthrow the three basic problems of imperialism, feudalism, and bureaucratic capitalism, and achieve democracy and national liberation to create the conditions for a socialist future.

We are now entering the third year of our rectification movement, which is primarily a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist study movement. In the spirit of the rectification movement, we have reviewed our experiences and critically identified our weaknesses and errors. The Central Committee is pleased to report that our rectification movement continues to bear fruit and has achieved meaningful advances in the ideological, political, and organizational fields. We are confident that with the continued efforts of all cadres and members of the Party, under the leadership of the Central Committee, we will achieve even greater victories in the years to come.

Under the guidance of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, let us sharply analyze the main contradictions that shape the current situation in the country and the world. Let us grasp the chronic crisis of the semicolonial and semifeudal system in the Philippines, and the prolonged stagnation of the global capitalist system. This opens up many great opportunities for advancing the cause of the working class and all oppressed and exploited classes for liberation.

At the beginning of the current year, we expected the crisis of the ruling system under the US-Marcos regime to erupt. However, this was surpassed by the speed with which the situation matured and exploded since the middle of the year. This shows not only the depths of the economic and social crisis, but even more so, the overflowing anger of the Filipino people against the oppression and suffering inflicted on them by the exploiting and plundering ruling classes.

The crisis will undoubtedly continue in the face of the Marcos regime’s immense corruption, unleashing of fascist terrorism, and the utter foreign subservience. The US-Marcos regime today is the most concentrated form of the oppression and suffering of the Filipino people. In the coming year, the protest movement that has surged in recent months is bound to grow and expand, to hold accountable and force the ouster of Marcos and Duterte, who both represent the most reactionary factions of the ruling classes. At the same time, widespread struggles in the countryside will surely erupt in the face of unbridled land grabbing and plunder of the country’s resources.

The conditions in the Philippines are indeed excellent for the Party to lead the further advance of the people’s democratic revolution through protracted people’s war. Let us seize the opportunity to further expand and strengthen the Party and the entire revolutionary movement, and look forward to bigger achievements in the future.

I. Escalating conflicts in the face of unresolved crisis of the global capitalist system

The entire world is rocked by four main contradictions: between the monopoly bourgeoisie and the working class, between imperialism and the oppressed peoples around the world, between imperialist powers and countries assertive of national sovereignty, and between rival imperialist countries. Currently, the intensifying political, financial, economic, trade, and military conflicts between the biggest imperialist countries are the principal contradiction, particularly in the face of the US imperialism’s relentless imposition of its hegemony over the entire world. This is the principal contradiction that shapes the current situation in the entire world.

Armed conflicts are erupting in various parts of the world, primarily due to the aggressive actions of US imperialism. This is closely linked to the prolonged economic stagnation in major capitalist countries, which the monopoly bourgeoisie have failed resolve. This is the result of the continuing crisis of overproduction in almost all industries, and the growing inventory of unsold goods. There is an excess of productive capacity, especially in the major industrialized countries. This is due to the rivalry between companies to outdo each other in producing the most goods.

There is overproduction in almost all industries due to the continuous development of productive forces, particularly the advances in technology (including the use of artificial intelligence or AI). There is excess capacity in the production of electronic equipment, semiconductors, batteries, electric and gasoline-powered vehicles, solar panels, steel, oil and petroleum, chemicals, ships, commercial transportation, airplanes, and many others. There is also overproduction in almost all agricultural products (rice, corn, soybeans, wheat, and others), especially in capitalist countries.

Productive forces are being laid to waste or destroyed. Due to overproduction, many industries are operating below their production capacity. In the US, for example, only 60%–70% of its car production capacity is being utilized. In Germany, only 70% of its total production capacity is being used, idling billions of dollars worth of production equipment. In China, factories have the capacity to produce up to 45 million electric vehicles, but this is not being fully utilized because global market sales are only at 16–18 million. More and more companies are losing money or being gobbled up in the face of intense capitalist competition.

The AI bubble is growing rapidly, fueled by the monopoly big bourgeoisie. Trillions of dollars are set to be invested in AI in the coming years, with an unprecedented scale of investment in infrastructure and bonds, far exceeding expected demand and returns. This is being compared to the “dotcom” bubble of the 1990s, which eventually burst and resulted in a financial crisis.

The problem of massive layoffs, reduced working hours, or factory closures is becoming more severe. In the US, nearly 560,000 companies went bankrupt in a year from September 2024, a 10% increase from the previous year, the highest since 2010; including 32 with over $1 billion in assets, which closed in 12 months from September 2024. Over the past decade, at least 100,000 capitalist farms in the US have folded due to the continued decline in commodity prices. In Germany, a total of 22,000 companies are expected to shutter this year (60 per day), the highest in a decade. In the UK, over 2,000 companies are closing every month this year, while 50,000 businesses are in a critical situation. In China, only 15 companies (out of 129) are expected to remain standing in the e-vehicle industry in the next five years.

Unemployment continues to worsen globally. In the technology sector, it is estimated that over 200,000 workers will be laid off by the end of the year (70% of them in the US), including 24,000 at Intel, 14,000 at Amazon, 13,000 at Verizon, and 9,000 at Microsoft. The US automotive industry has announced that 15,000 workers (20% more than last year) will be laid off this year. Up to 60,000 workers in the electric vehicle sector in China are estimated to have been laid off since 2024. Over 48,000 employees of United Parcel Service were also fired due to the decline in deliveries.

The global economy is stuck in stagnation and slow growth. The economies of all capitalist centers are facing growing threats of recession. The slow growth of the global economy has been going on for close to two decades since the 2008 financial crisis. The global economy rebounded in 2022 after collapsing in 2020–2021. This year, growth estimates, including that of the World Bank and IMF, is put at only 2.3%, lower than the already low 2.5% growth in 2024, due to widespread business closures, layoffs, and low demand caused by high inflation, especially in consumer goods.

The US economy remains on the brink of recession, which is estimated to grow by only 1.7–2% this year. Almost half (22) of the US states are already in recession. Under the “America First” policy of the Trump government, desperate measures were implemented to revive the economy and industry. These include raising tariffs on almost all imported US goods with the declared intention of protecting and supporting local industry and manufacturing. However, over the past 11 months, industrial production has remained stagnant or even declined, including in steel and automobiles, due to excess global production and inventories.

The European Union’s economy is expected to grow by a mere 1.3%, including the flatlining German economy, which is expected to grow by only 0.2% (down from -0.3% in 2024). The United Kingdom has been on the brink of recession since last year. Japan’s economy contracted by 2.3% in the third quarter, and it’s not expected to grow by more than 1% for the entire year. China’s economy continues to slow down, with an expected growth of only 5% (down from over 10% growth in 2000–2010), due to the collapse of real estate projects (including unoccupied condominiums and office buildings), accumulated unpaid local debt, and a decline in investment in manufacturing and infrastructure.

In total, it is estimated that 40–60 countries are currently on the brink of recession. In addition to the major capitalist centers, this includes several advanced economies in Europe such as Austria, Germany, Italy, France, and Switzerland, which have negative or zero economic growth rates, as well as a dozen or so underdeveloped countries.

The severe crisis of the capitalist system is further exacerbating environmental degradation and the climate crisis. The major capitalist countries are openly refusing to curb their exploitation of natural resources and raw materials, leading to increasing industrial pollution and global warming. The annual “climate change conference” sham initiated by the UN, including the recent one held in Brazil, has proved itself inutile.

Amid the crisis of the global capitalist system, the underdeveloped, agrarian, and backward economies of colonial, semicolonial, and semifeudal countries are further deteriorating. These countries have been crippled by decades of neoliberal policies that have exposed them to a flood of foreign surplus goods and the plunder of foreign capitalist investment. Due to unequal exchange, they suffer from chronic trade deficits, financial crises, and debt dependence. As the competition among the monopoly bourgeoisie for the cheapest raw materials intensifies, these countries are increasingly being exploited by imperialist powers. Billions of people in these countries suffer from widespread unemployment, low wages, land grabbing, and other forms of suffering and oppression.

Countries continue to resort to borrowing to try to overcome the crisis in their economies, finance state subsidies for struggling companies, fund infrastructure, and increase defense spending. In just the first six months of 2025, global debt surged by $21 trillion to nearly $340 trillion by mid-year. The total global debt represents approximately 290% of global production, almost equal to the peak reached in 2023. Most of the global debt is held by the US, Japan, China, and several major European countries, with the US accounting for one-third. Public debt is expected to grow from $102 trillion at the end of 2024 to $115 trillion by the end of the year. The public debt of underdeveloped countries has reached $31 trillion, doubling in the past 15 years. At least 35 countries are at risk of debt default.

The deepening global crisis of capitalism has triggered intense rivalries among imperialists and conflicts around the world. Trump imposed additional tariffs on almost all countries as leverage to obtain trade concessions (including the entry of more US products and contracts for the sale of surplus military equipment). By doing so, he further intensified economic and trade competition among imperialists and deepened anti-US sentiments worldwide.

The threat of major armed conflicts breaking out in various parts of the world continues to grow, with the increased military spending of imperialists. This surged by 9.4% in 2024 to $2.72 trillion, the largest increase in over three decades. This rise continued into 2025. Military spending by the US is expected to reach $1 trillion this year. Under the new National Security Strategy (2025) of the US (mainly focused on China and Russia), it declared its goal of developing the “most powerful, most advanced, and most technologically advanced” military force.

The US emphasizes that it needs to surpass China in power over the seas and the “first island chain” surrounding the country. Its supposed goal is to “avoid confrontation,” but its measures only increases the likelihood of armed conflict and wars. In its own hemisphere, the US is now planning to invade Venezuela (in South America) under the guise of “fighting drug cartels” to overthrow the anti-imperialist government of Maduro and establish a puppet government. After the prolonged war in Ukraine provoked by the US and NATO, the US is now pushing for an agreement to divide the country’s resources and land. In the Middle East, the US continues to collaborate with the Zionist state of Israel in the genocidal war against Palestine, which has killed at least 67,000 Palestinians in the two-year bombardment of Gaza since October 2023. Despite the US-brokered “ceasefire” in October, Zionist forces continue its attacks, resulting in the killing of at least 400 Palestinians. The US is planning to control parts of the Gaza Strip, even if it goes against Israel’s plan to annex the entire territory. In July, the US and Israel bombed Iran, which defended itself with counterstrikes.

The “comprehensive strategic partnership” between Russia and China continues to strengthen in the form of increased trade (especially in oil and energy) and military cooperation. The BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) continues to expand, now with ten member countries, after Indonesia joined this year (after Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates).

In response to Trump’s tariffs, many countries continue their efforts to move away from the dollar in financial transactions, even as it remains dominant. This includes yuan-based oil sales by Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern (especially to China), the yuan and rubble-based China-Russia trade, and local currency trade in ASEAN. From negligible levels before 2022, non-dollar transactions now account for 20% of global trade, contributing to the decline in the dollar’s value and the increasing purchase of gold. Since 2022–2024, gold sales have exceeded 1,000 tons, from the annual 450–500 tons in 2010–2021.

The ongoing crisis in capitalist countries has triggered intensifying class contradictions. Workers” struggles continue to intensify in capitalist centers, including the Amazon workers” strikes in the US and other countries. This year, massive strikes by workers in China for wage increases, particularly at the BYD company (an electric vehicle manufacturer), broke out in mid-year. Widespread strikes and protests by workers in Japanese ports took place from March to May. In Europe, general strikes by workers and citizens took place in Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, and France in December, against austerity policies that mainly affect pensions, wages, and social services. Major strikes have also taken place in recent months in Germany, Spain, the UK, and other countries.

In response to the growing resistance of workers and people, states are markedly turning to openly fascist policies. In the US, Donald Trump’s authoritarianism is worsening, with blatant disregard for laws and legal processes in the violent crackdown on immigrants, who make up a large part of the working class. Encouraged by the monopoly bourgeoisie, fascist and conservative parties and movements are growing stronger, with some elected to government. Attacks against Muslims and Arabs (at worst levels in the US in the past three decades, linked to the Trump administration’s suppression of pro-Palestinian protests), Blacks and Latinos in the US, LGBT individuals, and migrants in Europe continue to worsen. As part of the growing fascist trend, laws and policies that suppress civil rights are being implemented, such as the strengthening of mass surveillance, the use of drones, AI, and other technologies that violate privacy rights. After more than three years, the Zionist state’s genocidal war in Gaza continues. Mainly at the instigation of the US, the United Nations is being undermined by fund reductions, particularly for its human rights agencies.

The growing fascization of states in the US and other countries is pushing people to strengthen anti-fascist struggles around the world. Major anti-fascist rallies and protests have taken place, including a 7-million-strong rally in over 2,700 gatherings in the US against Trump’s fascist ambitions. In Europe, large anti-fascist rallies have taken place in the Netherlands, France, Germany, the UK, Norway, and other countries. Mass demonstrations by millions of people continue around the world against the ongoing genocide by the US and the Zionist state in Gaza.

The Iranian People's Just Uprising is Legitimate and Cannot Be Stopped! - ATIK

The uprising of the Iranian people continues to spread across the country. What began as protests
against the economic crisis in Tehran on 28 December 2025 quickly turned into an uprising involving
large crowds. Periodically in recent years, the simmering anger of the masses has risen to the surface,
and after taking blows, it has withdrawn again, continuing to gather strength. Most recently, in 2022,
the murder of Mahsa Amini by the fascist regime sparked nationwide protests under the slogan Jin,
Jiyan, Azadî. This accumulated anger has now resurfaced and is spreading alongside the uprising that
began on 28 December.
The fascist regime is attacking the people's legitimate struggle using every means of violence at its
disposal. In response to the uprising led by workers, women, youth and students, the regime forces have
carried out massacres. Police and military forces opened fire on protesters in all cities with all kinds of
weapons, killing hundreds and arresting thousands. Those arrested are being tortured and executed.
These massacres and arrests are increasing daily.
The imperialist powers are continuing their efforts to control the justified uprising of the people. Led by
the United States and Israel, all imperialist states are attempting to portray the uprising as being under
their control by publicly supporting it. The entire bourgeois media is manipulating the masses by
propagating this narrative.
This ongoing uprising is part of the Iranian people's long-standing and justified struggle against the
current fascist regime. In this regard, the assessment by Iranian trade unions that the protests that
have begun are a popular uprising against poverty, high inflation, economic collapse, oppressive and
coercive policies, the silencing of the people, violence against women, and the destruction of the
fundamental principles of social life is significant. Consequently, the assertion by some bourgeois
intellectuals that this is an imperialist-controlled rebellion aimed at undermining this just struggle is
absolutely unacceptable. This approach isolates the resistance and deprives it of international solidarity.
The legitimate struggle of the Iranian people will be won through international solidarity!
Contradictions between imperialist powers around the world are deepening. These contradictions are
increasing the danger of a new world war. The US attack on Venezuela, Russia's invasion of Ukraine,
Israel's genocide in Palestine, and the Taiwan conflict between the US and China indicate that conflicts
will intensify in the coming period.
In response, uprisings led by the masses, particularly women and young people, continue to spread far
and wide. The new wave of uprisings initiated by the Iranian people is also part of the common struggle
of the working class and oppressed peoples internationally. This struggle can only succeed with the
support of the international working class and oppressed peoples.
With this sense of duty, as ATİK (Confederation of Workers from Turkey in Europe) we call on all
democratic forces, human rights defenders, women's, youth and LGBTI+ organisations, workers'
organisations and trade unions to embrace and support the just resistance of the Iranian people!
Down with the Fascist Iranian Regime!
Long live the Iranian People's Legitimate Resistance!
Long live International Solid
