Unoficcial translation, here the original in bengali:
Call for Europe-wide Sit-In Protests under the initiative of the “International Emergency Campaign Against Operation Kagaar”.
Since January 2024, under the name of the military
operation “Operation Kagaar,” the Hindutva fascist Modi government has
been carrying out massacres of Maoists and Adivasis in various states of
India and subjecting them to unspeakable repression and persecution.
According to the official narrative, this operation aims to eliminate
the Maoists by March 31, 2026. In reality, the main objective of this
operation is to forcibly evict Adivasis and hand over their water, land,
and forests to imperialist multinational corporations, thereby
safeguarding their interests. With this aim, the fascist Modi government
is killing hundreds of Maoists and Adivasi people.
Those who take a stand against Operation Kagaar are
being brutally suppressed through the repressive law UAPA (Unlawful
Activities Prevention Act). Against these acts of repression and
killing, revolutionary, democratic, progressive forces and human rights
organizations in India are waging struggle and resistance. On the other
hand, the imperialist European Union continues to shamelessly support
the Hindutva fascist Modi government.
On January 26 and 27, 2026, meetings of the European
Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee and the Human Rights Subcommittee
will be held in Brussels. Under the initiative of the “International
Emergency Campaign Against Operation Kagaar,” a call has been made for
mass movements across Europe against “Operation Kagaar” and to denounce
the EU’s support for the Indian state.
They have called for sit-in protests demanding an end to
“Operation Kagaar” on January 27, 2026– at 10:00 a.m. in front of the
European Parliament and at 2:00 p.m. in front of the Indian Embassy.
We express our unwavering support for the
above-mentioned programs and call upon all revolutionary, democratic,
progressive forces and individuals, as well as human rights
organizations residing in Europe and Belgium, to make these programs a
success.
