On the 27th of January in 1945 the heroic Red Army liberated the Auschwitz Concentration Camp! Soldiers of the 60th Army of the First Ukrainian Front appeared in the morning and liberated the Auschwitz Main Camp and Birkenau at 3p.m, and were welcomed as truly liberators!
"Auschwitz" internationally became a symbol for the Holocaust, the incredible genocide, specific against the Jewish People, done by the Nazi fascism. In Auschwitz officially 1,1 million people get killed bestial. The liberation of Auschwitz was an important victory of the Red Army against Nazi fascism and clearly showed the heroic role of Soviet Union to the tortured and maltreated prisoners and to the rest of the world!
