CAIRO- 15 May 2025: Spokesman for the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Dr. Khalil Al-Daqran, said that the Israeli occupation army has committed complete massacres by directly targeting medical facilities and humanitarian personnel.
He noted that more than 1,800 health workers have been killed, more than 600 arrested, and over 3,000 injured.
He emphasized that these actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions. He pointed out that the continued closure of crossings and the denial of the entry of supplies prevents the provision of any type of healthcare.
He explained that Gaza Strip has entered the fifth stage of famine, which is a very dangerous stage, explaining that 60,000 children are at risk of death due to malnutrition, and that more than 650,000 children are at risk of contracting diseases such as polio due to the denial of access to vaccinations.
He stated that 17,000 children have been killed since the beginning of the aggression using bombs and missiles, and that they are now also being targeted with a policy of starvation.
He noted that more than 300,000 patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease suffer from a lack of medication, which has led to high mortality rates among them.
