Visit the Weeks of Action Page Announcing two weeks of action this September to Resist US Military Bases! U.S. military bases have devastating impacts on people all over the world. These bases are the staging ground for wars of aggression, which in partnership with puppet governments bring host countries directly into wars that the U.S. provokes. Military bases are sites of extreme violence against women, environmental destruction and human rights violations. These US military outposts  strengthen fascist states, and are used to suppress peoples’ resistances. But we know that foreign bases are not invincible! People all over the world have kicked bases out of their countries, refused the renewal of land-lease agreements for U.S. military bases, and even stopped new bases from being built! ILPS is leading the call for weeks of action this month under the slogan of Resist US Military Bases! Fight for Land, Liberation, Sovereignty, and Just Peace! US Out of Everywhere!

Events and days of action will be called for between September 14 and September 30. This will be an open call where any organization can initiate their own actions or activities related to the theme and objectives. There will also be joint days of action (i.e. mobilizations) and joint activities (i.e. social media actions, collaboration on shared educational materials) decided upon by the convening organizations.
