The ‘Central Committee (CC)’ of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) has urged people to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the CPI-Maoist formation from September 21 to 27 across the country, . “The Central Committee has called for intensive mass mobilization in the guerrilla warfare to defeat the Centre’s military offensive — Operation Kagar, protect the revolutionary movement and bolster the party,” a statement purportedly issued by the CPI-Maoist’s highest decision-making body said. As many as 366 comrades, including the CPI-Maoist ‘general secretary’, comrade Basavaraju (Nambala Keshav Rao), ‘CC’ members, and comrades Chalapathi, Vivek and Uday, among others, attained martyrdom fighting for the cause of new democratic revolutionary struggle and resisting Operation Kagar this year, the statement said, adding the ‘CC’ vows to fight for the ideals of the Maoist martyrs with a strong resolve. “Our party is always ready for peace talks in the larger interests of people if the Central government stops Operation Kagar and halts the setting up of armed forces camps in the revolutionary zone.
Let us wage a resolute fight against the imperialist, Hindutva fascist, bourgeoisie and feudal forces to safeguard the interests of oppressed sections,” the statement further said.
