Protest against the World Economic Forum in Switzerland

The World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting is held in Davos, Switzerland from 15^th of January to the 19^th of January this year. A protest against it was held on the 16^th of January on the Helvetiaplatz in Zurich. Also Partizan Switzerland took part in the demonstration, that had a combative and internationalist expression. During the demonstration, graffiti was made and fireworks and flares were set off and slogans such as “Up the international solidarity” were shouted. The police was heavily present and patrolling the streets already before the demonstration.

The WEF is an annual forum dominated by US imperialism in which political representatives of imperialists, their lackeys and representatives of the big bourgeoisie such as CEOs of monopolies gather to discuss the international situation and to collude for safeguarding their interests, to keep sucking the blood of the peoples of the world. This year, the deepening general crisis of imperialism is again displayed in the major topics: they include the economical crisis, the increased cost of living, the new AI technology, the war of aggression against Ukraine, the situation in Palestine and in the Middle East as well as the situation of Taiwan, reflecting the interests of the imperialists, especially US imperialism.
