On Tuesday the 28th of July, the reactionary Indian state announced the arrest of the last standing member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), comrade Misir Besra. With this, it claims the end of the century-old revolutionary Communist movement in India. In press images they brought out comrade Misir Besra out with a hood over his head and chained, perhaps in an attempt to intimidate the masses and humiliate the fighter who stood for them. To show them that this is the fate that awaits anyone who dares to resist the fascist state’s “Samadhan Prahar” offensive.

What they continue to forget is that the movement derives its strength not from the subjective will of a few brave souls but the objective suffering of the billion-strong Indian masses. Jharkhand is one of the poorest states in India, despite holding 40% of its mineral resources. This is because of the extractive semi-feudal, semi-colonial system in India, which rests on the caste oppression of the Adivasi people of India, and siphons off their wealth to a handful of billionaires. Since India is oppressed by imperialism (principally western imperialism), ultimately this wealth serves to enrich their foreign masters. To drive the Adivasis off their land and make it available for mineral extraction, the state is ready to use private armies alongside its paramilitary forces to genocide, rape and pillage countless villages, with only the CPI (Maoist) to defend them. Anyone who supports the just struggle of the Adivasi people for their jal-jangal-jameen (water, forests, and land) is branded a Maoist and incarcerated or even executed, without any due process.

Le documentariste et militant Vishal Singh, détenu depuis juin 2025 après son arrestation par l’Agence nationale d’enquête dans le cadre de l’affaire dite de la « conspiration de Lucknow », voit son état de santé se dégrader fortement en prison. Cette affaire, dans laquelle plusieurs militants et activistes sont poursuivis par les autorités indiennes pour des accusations liées à une prétendue organisation criminelle. Réalisateur engagé, Vishal Singh a notamment documenté les violences communautaires à Delhi et la situation des travailleurs migrants pendant le confinement lié au Covid-19.

Selon des informations communiquées par sa famille, Vishal Singh souffre de graves problèmes de santé, notamment d’hypertension élevée, de vomissements persistants, d’une perte importante de la vision, de gonflements et de difficultés à marcher après un épisode neurologique survenu en mars 2026. Malgré cette dégradation, il n’a pas été transféré vers un établissement spécialisé.

The Campaign Against State Repression (CASR) expresses its grave concern over the rapidly deteriorating health of jailed documentary filmmaker and activist Vishal Singh, who has been incarcerated since June 2025 after being arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the Lucknow Conspiracy Case.

Vishal Singh is a documentary filmmaker whose work has consistently highlighted the lives and struggles of ordinary people. He documented the Delhi communal violence and, through his YouTube channel People’s Marx, chronicled the lives of migrant workers during the COVID-19 lockdown. Instead of recognising his democratic and journalistic work, the Indian state has subjected him to prolonged incarceration under a case that we believe is politically motivated.

Reports regarding Vishal’s health are extremely alarming. According to information shared publicly by his partner, Vishal has a history of migraines, which have become significantly more frequent during his imprisonment. He has reportedly been surviving on medication without adequate specialist care, proper nutrition, or regular medical monitoring.

Trotsky and the Origins of Trotskyism - The Partisan -“A Worker’s Guide To”

 

The Partisan is republishing this article from the series “A Worker’s Guide To” originally published on New Labor Press. These articles outline basic principles of organizing work for activists to successfully mobilize, politicize, and organize the working and oppressed masses. We encourage all readers to study these articles and apply them to their work, in order to further the development of class struggle in their work.

There are people promoting ideas of all sorts in the labor movement. By far the dominant ideology is labor-liberalism: all the state unions spend massive amounts of money and man-hours on the Democratic Party and take up jobs in the government and party. The second most prominent ideology is Trotskyism—it is the Trotskyists who established groups such as Teamsters for a Democratic Union which have functioned as a crucial pillar propping up the decrepit state unions over the last few decades. It is therefore important to lay out the basic features of Trotskyism in the labor movement and in general as well as some specific experiences with Trotskyism.

Trotsky and the Origins of Trotskyism

Trotskyism as an ideology gets its name from the Soviet defector Leon Trotsky. Trotsky had a lengthy record of vacillating between the different political trends in Russia, to the point that Lenin referred to him as “Judas Trotsky” and Stalin aptly said, “But it is precisely to such depths [preparing for civil war against the Soviet state] that the Trotskyists have sunk—once a faction within the Party, they have now become an underground anti-Soviet organisation” [They Have Sunk to New Depths, 1929]. As a historical figure, Trotsky’s record is abysmal. He took a centrist stand between Mensheviks (representatives of the Russian liberal bourgeoisie) and Bolsheviks (revolutionary workers and peasants) in Russia. He temporarily sided with the Bolsheviks to try to wreck the Brest peace accords which ended Russian involvement in WW1 (more on the “theory” that justified this later), then went on to propose turning the Soviet Union into a fascist dictatorship by imposing military discipline in the trade unions and “turning the screws” on the poor peasants who he claimed were incapable of building socialism, while opposing the expropriation of the rich peasants. (This process, which included harsh repressive measures, is more commonly known as “dekulakization”.) When the entire Soviet people including the Communist Party rejected this, he took to factionalism (which is what Trotskyists are most known for today) for the purpose of sabotaging the Soviet government and economy, and fled the country. In the US he agreed to testify in front of the Dies Committee against the Soviet Union and ultimately took a centrist position on fascism: “Being an irreconcilable opponent not only of fascism but also of the present-day Comintern, I am at the same time decidedly against the suppression of either of them” [Trotsky, Why I Agreed to Appear Before the Dies Committee, 1939]. Trotsky was thus the figurehead of centrism from the beginning to the end of his career, starting with a compromise with Russian liberalism (known as the August bloc) and ending with a compromise with Hitlerite fascism, which Trotsky saw as a lesser evil to Stalinism. (“No one, not excluding Hitler, has dealt socialism such deadly blows as Stalin” [Trotsky, The Beginning of the End, 1937]).

Trotsky was only one person, and not even a particularly talented one at that. Nevertheless Trotskyism has become a global phenomenon, with many Trotskyist parties acquiring posts in different governments. This is to be explained by the fact that Trotskyism as an ideology is extremely appealing to the middle classes, who theoretically should want and would benefit from a revolution, but in fact constantly flip-flop and practically reject the proletarian revolution and everything that is required to carry it out successfully. As Moissaye Olgin, a Ukrainian Jew who fled Eastern Europe and joined the CPUSA, wrote in 1935:

“Trotskyism is being reborn on every stage of the revolutionary movement because it is the expression of the attitude of a certain class, namely, the petty bourgeoisie. Of this class Karl Marx once said that it is ‘a transitional class in which the interests of two classes are simultaneously blunted’. The petty bourgeoisie finds itself between the proletariat and the large-scale bourgeoisie. It strives to rise to the position of the large-scale bourgeoisie, but the latter, using the power of concentrated and centralized capital, continuously drives it down to the position of the proletariat. The petty bourgeois, subjectively, wishes to become rich, to attain to the heights of capitalist economic power; objectively, however, his interests lie with the struggle against capitalism because capitalism removes the ground from under his feet and because only under a Socialist system will the petty bourgeois of today become a free member of society, unafraid of the future, since under Socialism he will be transformed into one engaged in useful productive labor. The petty bourgeoisie as a class, therefore, is wavering. The interests of two classes, said Marx, are ‘simultaneously blunted’ in it. That means that the petty bourgeoisie cannot be as consistently counter-revolutionary as the big bourgeoisie, but it cannot be as consistently with the revolution, as is the proletariat. The petty bourgeoisie is afraid of the big bourgeoisie but it is also afraid of the revolution” [Trotskyism: Counter-revolution in Disguise].

These are the historical facts and the social basis of Trotskyism. Theoretically, the main ideas of Trotskyism are “permanent revolution” and “transitional programs”. “Permanent revolution” is the theory that socialism cannot be built in one country. This “theory” is in part how the Trotskyists justify their unprincipled behavior. If socialism is impossible to develop in one country, then it logically follows that wrecking socialism is also impossible in one country, because such a process was impossible to begin with. Thus the betrayals of Trotsky and the Trotskyists are completely erased! The ideological premise of “permanent revolution” taken to its conclusion means alliance with the labor-liberals. Struggling Masses, 

Comrade Charu Majumdar is one of the premier Marxist-Leninist-Maoist leaders of the subcontinent. The then government and state of India murdered this great revolutionary while in custody on July 28, 1972. During his student days, he joined the peasant organization of that era to integrate himself with the peasantry and carried out revolutionary activities with professional devotion. He played a revolutionary role in various peasant and labor struggles, including the Tebhaga movement. In opposition to the revisionist politics of the CPI and CPI (M), he was firmly inspired by Mao Zedong Thought (now Maoism) and took the first revolutionary steps in theory and practice during the 1960s. 

Comrade Charu Majumdar's historical Historic Eight Documents served as the foundation for the Naxalbari peasant struggle, giving birth to the revolutionary struggle and the Party in India. Inspired by the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, under the direction and leadership of Comrade Charu Majumdar, a revolutionary struggle erupted in Naxalbari in 1967 like a "Thunderclap of Spring." Through this, a successful line of agrarian revolution was initiated. Through this struggle, Comrade Charu Majumdar established Marxism-Leninism-Maoism as the ideological beacon across India, while simultaneously burying electoralism, urban uprisings, and all forms of revisionist lines. 

Under his leadership, the CPI (M-L) was the first revolutionary party in this subcontinent to present the path of people's democratic revolution aimed at seizing power for the workers and peasants. The call to seize area-wise power in rural areas, with that Naxalbari agrarian revolution at its center, emerged as a guidance for revolutionary paths and struggles not only in India but also in East Bengal and various other regions of the subcontinent. Today's Maoist struggle in India is a continuation of the struggle waged by Naxalbari, Comrade Charu Majumdar, and other revolutionaries. 

Friends, the armed agrarian revolution that commenced along four streams in our East Bengal during the 1970s was directly and indirectly invigorated by the Naxalbari struggle. At the same time, Comrade Charu Majumdar is our teacher regarding protracted people's war as the general line of revolution, agrarian revolution-people's democratic revolution, and the rejection of electoralism and economism. Comrade Charu Majumdar firmly showed the path to unlocking the initiative of the workers, landless-poor peasants, middle class, and other exploited masses. He adhered to the Maoist perspective of preparing people's forces from scratch through the elimination of class enemies and establishing base areas. He explicitly presented the program for a people's democratic revolution within a semi-colonial, semi-feudal context. Simultaneously, he provided the direction for struggle against US imperialism, Soviet social-imperialism, and the common enemy of the people of South Asia— Indian expansionism. Comrade Charu Majumdar supported the right to liberation and self-determination of all oppressed nationalities.

The United States announced in July that it will rehabilitate Buliluyan Port, a civilian port in Bataraza, Palawan, to serve as an additional naval base on the island. The project will be funded with $9 million from the US Department of Defense’s Foreign Military Financing.

While the rehabilitation is being framed as an upgrade for the Philippine Coast Guard, the US has long used the port and nearby coastlines for amphibious exercises under the Balikatan and Kamandag joint military drills. In 2025, the US Marine Corps Littoral Combat Team used the site as a launching pad for HIMARS missile-firing exercises.

“The people must resist the US’ use of Palawan as a launch pad for its aggressive and provocative operations in the South China Sea and reject heavy presence of its troops on the island,” said Marco Valbuena, chief information officer of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP). “These troops and ships place the Palawan people and the entire Filipino nation in direct danger of attack by the US’s enemies.”

Hamas clarifies the truth about the arms clause in the Gaza agreement: national storage, not surrender to the occupation

Dr. Ghazi Hamad, a leader in the Hamas movement, stressed that the proposed peace agreement to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip represents an integrated framework and a single package that cannot be fragmented or its provisions implemented separately. Hamad clarified that the movement's commitment to implementing what is stated in the draft is primarily contingent on the Israeli occupation's full commitment to all pledges, warning of the occupation's long record of violating previous understandings.

Hamad indicated in press statements that the movement decided to approve the agreement after extensive consultations with mediators and Palestinian forces, describing the current stage as exceptional, requiring difficult decisions to save the population from the humanitarian catastrophe. He added that the movement is not driven by happiness towards the agreement, but by the necessity of stopping the war of extermination and opening a new horizon for reconstruction and life in the Strip.

Regarding the arms issue, which is the most sensitive, Hamad confirmed that the final formulations absolutely do not stipulate the surrender of factional weapons to the Israeli occupation. He explained that the agreement talks about an organized storage process for weapons under the supervision of an independent national committee and parties that will be agreed upon later, to ensure that they are not used outside the framework of national consensus in the next stage.

Hamas leader explained that the movement scrutinized all details of the security clauses to ensure that they are not interpreted as political surrender or abandonment of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. He affirmed that the implementation of security arrangements, including dealing with tunnels and heavy weapons, will be linked to a precise timetable that ensures the withdrawal of occupation forces from all areas they entered.

These developments come at a time when sources revealed that the agreement falls within a comprehensive peace plan consisting of 20 clauses, which was announced by US President Donald Trump via his 'Truth Social' platform. The plan aims to establish an international stabilization force instead of occupation forces, in conjunction with the formation of a new Palestinian police force that will assume internal security tasks in the Strip.

By nazariya123 on August 5, 2026 The fight against Opportunism-Liquidationism-Revisionism is a constant struggle that communists have been entrenched in since the formation of proletariat parties became the general trend from the 1860s. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, who spent the entirety of their adult lives embattled with the petite bourgeoisie and its ideological influences over the working class’ movement, found themselves in this new fight in the age of the proletariat parties. In the first half of their political lives, it was reformism, utopian socialism and anarchism which represented the petite bourgeois influence among the proletariat. Marx and Engels’ bitter struggles against the likes of Proudhon, Max Stirner and Michael Bakunin as part of the International Workingmen’s Association (retrospectively called the First Communist International) led to developments which saw the isolation and eventual elimination of these representatives of bourgeois from among the proletariat’s organization. This was the victory of Marxism as a scientific truth and as the ideology of the proletariat, now formally accepted. In the course of these ideological struggles, Marx and Engels led the revolutionary upsurges that hit many European nations around 1848, exposing the superiority of Marxism against Bakunin’s attempts at anarchist insurrections. As they entered the later part of their lives, Marx and Engels were both quick to recognise that the formation of proletariat parties in Europe was a welcome development, though it also came with the caveat that a new struggle against petite bourgeois ideology was to be fought now. Instead of fighting Marxism from the outside, the petite bourgeois liberal influence on the proletariat now attempted to come from within the ranks of proletarian parties working on Marxist lines. For the longest time, the two comrades had roughly split up their duties, with Marx focusing on political economy and revolutionary strategy while Engels focused on philosophy, military affairs and sciences. But with Marx’s passing, it fell upon Engels to not only carry out his given tasks but also Marx’s side of the work as the leader the young proletarian parties looked up to for guidance. On this 5th August, let us remember Comrade Engels, one of the five great teachers of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism by looking at his historic contribution in fighting the very first battles against Opportunism-Liquidationism-Revisionism and seek inspiration for our ongoing fights today. Over the passage of a decade or so after the first parties were founded in the first half of the 1860s, they matured to the point of line struggles emerging in concrete forms among their ranks. The earliest fight came in 1875 when the General Association of German Workers led by Ferdinand Lassalle merged with the Social-Democratic Workers’ Party of Germany (also called the Eisenachers) led by August Bebel and Wilhelm Liebknecht to form the German Social-Democratic Party. The Lassalleans represented the petite bourgeoisie already, aiming for what Marx called a “Royal-Prussian state socialism.” Meanwhile Bebel and Liebknecht led the Eisenach party with guidance from Marx and Engels and their First International, with the Eisenach party taking firm positions against all reactionary trends. On the other hand, Lassalle regarded the state as a supra-class organization and, in conformity with that philosophically idealist view, he believed that the Prussian state could be utilised to solve the social problem through the setting up of producers’ co-operatives with its aid. Lassalle directed the workers towards peaceful, parliamentary forms of struggle, believing that the introduction of universal suffrage would make Prussia a ‘free people’s state’. To obtain universal suffrage, he promised Bismarck the support of his Association against the liberal opposition and also in the implementation of Bismarck’s plan to reunite Germany ‘from above’ under the hegemony of Prussia. The Eisenach party and other groups (the socialist sectarians) had strongly opposed this Prussian chauvinism. Lassalle repudiated the revolutionary class struggle, denied the importance of trade unions and of strike action, ignored the international tasks of the working class, and infected the German workers with nationalist ideas. His contemptuous attitude towards the peasantry, which he regarded as a reactionary force, did much damage to the German working-class movement. Marx and Engels fought his harmful utopian dogmatism and his reformist views.

We call for his immediate release and demand that Spain rejects calls from US Imperialism to extradite him to America, where he would face lengthy time in prison on political charges. 

Fergie Chambers is a strong supporter of the Palestinian People and has used his personal wealth to help fund humanitarian efforts in Palestine against the Genocidical campaign of Zionism, backed by US Imperialism. This has made him an enemy of  the Trump Regime. 

Spanish Imperialism is attempting to use Fergie as a pawn to curry favour with Trump and US Imperialism by facilitating his extradition on Political Charges. However, Spanish law dictates that a person cannot be extradited from Spain on Political Charges, and we demand that Spain uphold their own laws and prevent the Extradition of Fergie Chambers. 

Fergie Chambers is not a criminal. He is a humanitarian motivated by his strong sense of Social Justice and a belief in equality for all. He is a husband, father, friend and comrade who should immediately be released back to his wife, family, friends and community, where he belongs.

Un Forum uni pour la libération des prisonniers politiques du Telangana a été créé afin de demander la libération des prisonniers politiques, notamment celles accusées de liens avec le mouvement maoïste. Coordonné par le professeur Haragopal et soutenu par plusieurs organisations, avocats et intellectuels, le forum réclame l’abandon des poursuites jugées abusives, l’abrogation de la loi antiterroriste UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) et la libération immédiate des prisonniers politiques. Il souligne que près de 90 % des personnes emprisonnées dans des affaires liées au maoïsme seraient des Adivasis, une population autochtone durement réprimée.

Plusieurs cas individuels sont mis en avant : Moola Devender Reddy, âgé de plus de 60 ans, détenu à Jagdalpur et ayant presque perdu la vue ; Kartam Joga, paralysé et hospitalisé à Chanchalguda ; Gangadhar Rao, âgé de plus de 75 ans, détenu depuis plus de quatre ans sans procès ; Shiva Reddy et Admal de Poovarthi, incarcérés depuis douze ans comme prévenus ; Kamala et Rajitha, détenues respectivement depuis trois et quatre ans à la prison pour femmes de Chanchalguda. Le forum mentionne aussi Innaiah, militant de Bharat Bachao détenu sous UAPA, malgré des problèmes de santé et le décès de ses deux parents pendant son incarcération, ainsi que Sanjay Deepak Rao, détenu depuis plus de trois ans sans jugement.

La situation concerne également d’autres États : en Andhra Pradesh, environ 40 à 50 prisonniers seraient détenus dans plusieurs établissements, dont Sake Kalavathi (sept ans de détention et 55 affaires), Korra Nageswara Rao (40 affaires), Vantala Ramakrishna (45 affaires), Marri Valasa (25 affaires) et Korra Singru (20 affaires). Le forum cite aussi des détenus maintenus depuis de longues périodes dans le Madhya Pradesh, le Chhattisgarh, l’Odisha et ailleurs, notamment Surendra Gadling, avocat détenu sans libération sous caution depuis huit ans, ainsi que Omar Khalid et Sharjeel Imam, emprisonnés à Delhi depuis plus de cinq ans sans procès ni caution.

El jueves 31 de julio, más de 60.000 personas cruzaron la frontera entre España y Marruecos bordeando el espigón del Tarajal. Al menos 72 personas (confirmadas) murieron ahogadas, porque para bordear el espigón, hay que adentrarse antes en el mar. Poco después de su llegada a suelo español, el Estado imperialista envió al ejército, que junto a la Policía Nacional y a la Guardia Civil, se dedicó a cazar a los migrantes. Con la rápida militarización de Ceuta, más del 95% de los migrantes fueron deportados a Marruecos en menos de 24 horas. En estos momentos, las fuerzas represivas del Estado están buscando a los pocos migrantes que han podido escapar la operación militar.

Es urgente poner los puntos sobre las íes. Es falso que la crisis de Ceuta haya sido provocado por Marruecos. No se trata de una “maniobra geopolítica” para “hacer presión” contra España. Tampoco es un castigo de Marruecos contra España por sus “recientes acuerdos con Argelia”. Cualquier motivo que parte de que la crisis haya sido orquestada unilateralmente por Marruecos contra España es falso.

Turkey: Trial Dates Have Been Set for Arrested Partizan Readers

 

The trial dates for the arrested Partizan Readers Okay Koçak and Seyidali Laço have been set

Indictments have been prepared against Okay Koçak and Seyidali Laço, Partizan readers who were arrested on May 1^st.

Accordingly, the first hearing for Seyidali Laço, one of the imprisoned Partizan readers who will be tried on charges of having a “membership in a organization,” will be held on September 22^nd at the 25^th High Criminal Court of Istanbul Courthouse, while Okay Koçak’s first hearing will be held on October 1^st at the 26^th High Criminal Court.

The indictments against Gülhanım Aslandoğan, Sevil Doğan, Diyar Sarıkuş, and Eray Çıta, who were arrested on May 1^st, as well as the Partizan readers who were placed under house arrest, are expected to be prepared within a few weeks.

The state of the Filipino nation is that of a growing people’s resistance against intensified fascist repression and plunder by the US-Marcos regime.

The US-Marcos regime continues to ignore economic development through national industrialization while it lays open the whole country to foreign plunder, plunging the biggest majority of the population to extreme poverty and suffering. Prices soar and worker’s wages remain low. Peasants and indigenous people lose their lands to mining companies or real estate billionaires who turn fertile farm lands into enclaves for the rich. Fisherfolk lose their livelihood as the seas are taken over by warships and coastlines are reclaimed by big business. Meanwhile, the regime plunders people’s money to make Marcos’ cronies rich, while weaponizing the issue of corruption against political and economic rivals.

The Marcos regime uses its conflict with Duterte to deceive the people and distract and derail the people’s protest for genuine reforms and accountability. It has forged alliances with pseudo-progressive parties and organizations to sow division among the people and redirect the people’s outrage away from the corrupt Marcos ruling clique.

At the core of today’s present crisis is not only the contest between two reactionary cliques vying for power but US imperialism’s intensifying stranglehold on the Philippines. In its design to make the country a forward military base within the First Island Chain, it supports puppet regimes in exchange for free access to our land, air, and seas. Just this year, 500 operations were launched in the guise of military exercises, or “humanitarian and disaster response”, a Tomahawk missile has been launched within Philippine soil while US warships patrol Philippine seas.

In the Martyrs' week, the first call for a new International Day of Action, the 26th september 2026

The ICSPWI (International Committee of Support to the People's War in India) calls on all the marxist-leninist-maoist organisations and parties, revolutionaries, anti-imperialists, progressives and sincere democrats to honour the Indian revolutionaries Martyrs on the occasion of Martyrs' Week - july 28th -August 3rd

The blood shed by martyrs in their struggle for New Democratic Revolution and Socialist Revolution must be honoured!

At the same time we honour all people killed and massacred during the Modi's criminal and genocide Operation Kagaar.

The martyrs of the Indian revolution are the best sons and daughters of Indian people who sacrificed their lives not only for the liberation of India, but of the entire world, from capitalist/imperialist exploitation, contributing to the World Proletarian Revolution.

The Indian revolution, the people's war, the CPI (Maoist) is today in a very difficult situation, the Modi's regime claims that India is “naxal-free” today. The ruling classes, other governments and regimes in India had said the same in the past but the history has showed that this is an illusion.

People's war and CPI (Maoist) are immortal! New generations of sons of the people are in struggle and take in their hands the flag of revolution.

It is true that in these hard times it needs more than ever the international and internationalist solidarity and support by the communist, proletarian, revolutionary movement, anti-imperialist movements, proletariat and people in struggle and in arms in the world.

ICSPWI with its strong and permanent support of CPI(Maoist) in all form, exists for this and is engaged to mobilise everybody for this support.

until the strong 28^thMarch demostrations in the world have showed that in many parts of the world this is possible, but it needs to continue this campaign and do much more.

It needs to unify the international movement against all the forms of opportunism and sectarianism.

It needs to unite the initiatives on the democratic front and in support of the democratic people’s opposition movements against the Modi regime with the support to the CPI(Maoista) and his struggle against revisionists, traitors and capitulationists, today. and particularly on the 22^nd anniversary of Party foundation in september, to defend the Party and the road of protracted People’s War in India e in the world.

It needs to bring this struggle within the international communist movement, the large anti-imperialist movement in the world, first the movement of solidarity with the Palestine, the movement aganit the imperialist war, the movement against repression for the release of political prisoners.

Therefore, as part of an ongoing protracted campaign, we call for a new International Day od Solidarity and struggle on the 26^th of September 2026.

The platform and plan of actions for the Day will be developed with the cooperation of the forces in solidarity during the next weeks, from Rome to Paris, from Switzerland to Germany, from Turkey to Brazil, from Colombia to USA, from Bangladesh to China e and everywhere it is possible in the world.

During the ongoing Martyrs' Week, a martyrs' commemoration program was organized by the Revolutionary Students' Front (RSF) on the grounds of Presidency University yesterday (31/07/2026). The martyrs of the Maoist revolutionary communist movement around the world, including the martyrs of the Indian state-run Kagar war, were remembered. A mass song was performed by the cultural wing of the Revolutionary Students' Front, Red Lantern. After the speeches of the comrades, the program ended with the singing of the tune 'Internationale', uniting the exploited working people of the world for the purpose of liberation

thousands of comrades became martyrs in the country upholding the traditions

of great sacrifices. The countering of intense repressive attacks of the enemy

began since the time of the great Naxalbari Armed Peasant revolution. The party

ranks, people’s armed forces and the revolutionary people armed with the

theory of MLM are clear about the objective of revolution and are fighting

heroically amidst enemy offensives....

advancing in waves amidst several difficulties, losses, tears, bloodshed and ebbs

and flows and ups and downs in the spirit of the martyrs. The sacrifices of the

martyrs shall never go waste. Let us uphold their sacrifice and fight with the firm

Les forces indiennes ont arrêté plus de 3 000 personnes au Cachemire administré par l’Inde lors d’une vaste opération de répression lancée après la mort, le 22 juillet 2026 à Anantnag, d’un membre du groupe spécial de police. Des perquisitions et arrestations massives ont suivi dans plusieurs zones, ainsi que des détentions arbitraires. Ces arrestations s’ajoutent aux milliers de Cachemiris déjà détenus dans les prisons indiennes pour des motifs politiques présumés.

Migliaia di persone provenienti dal Marocco hanno attraversato i frangiflutti di confine verso Ceuta, l’enclave spagnola sul territorio marocchino. Si tratta di ingressi che si vanno ad aggiungere a centinaia di altri arrivati a nuoto negli ultimi giorni e contro i quali il governo spagnolo sta operando per la loro “riconsegna” al Marocco. tanti sono morti in mare cercando di raggiungere a nuoto o con mezzi di fortuna l’enclave spagnola.

Migliaia di persone hanno varcato la barriera negli ultimi dieci giorni e altre migliaia si sono diretti ieri, giovedì, verso la frontiera tra Castillejos (Marocco) e Ceuta per tentare di oltrepassare il muro che separa le due città.

Le barriere di protezione non erano presidiate in quel momento da agenti di polizia, e i migranti hanno avuto accesso al territorio spagnolo mentre gli agenti delle forze ausiliarie marocchine, che si occupano della sicurezza a terra, si ritiravano al passaggio dei giovani. Nel pomeriggio di giovedì, continuavano ancora ad entrare persone nel territorio spagnolo.

Gli agenti di sicurezza interpellati dall’agenzia spagnola EFE hanno dichiarato di non conoscere il motivo del massiccio raduno di giovani per oltrepassare il valico, che coincide con la celebrazione della Festa del Trono in Marocco.

Fino al 15 luglio, il governo non aveva registrato alcun arrivo di migranti via mare a Ceuta. La principale via d’ingresso per i migranti irregolari in Spagna rimane infatti l’arcipelago delle Isole Canarie, al largo della costa africana.

I governi di Spagna e Marocco hanno concordato di attuare misure per la riconsegna “il prima possibile” di “tutte” le persone migranti che sono entrate illegalmente a Ceuta nei giorni scorsi, e in particolare giovedì, quando hanno superato in massa la barriera attraverso il molo di El Tarajal.

Fonti del Ministero dell’Interno hanno indicato questo giovedì che i due paesi hanno concordato di “rafforzare il coordinamento e gli sforzi per far fronte a questi flussi e si sono impegnati a rivedere e attuare misure per la riconsegna, il prima possibile, di tutte le persone che sono entrate illegalmente” nella città autonoma.

Le Forze Armate spagnole stanno rafforzando la Guardia Civile nella città di Ceuta dopo il massiccio e improvviso arrivo dei migranti.

Il governo italiano ha scelto di strumentalizzare l’episodio chiedendo di sospendere gli accordi di Shengen per la Spagna (ripristinando cioè i controlli di frontiera su merci e persone). E la Spagna per protesta ha convocato l’ambasciatore italiano.

“Le immagini che arrivano da Ceuta dimostrano come la scelta del Governo di Madrid di dare la cittadinanza spagnola, quindi europea, ad oltre 500mila immigrati irregolari sia profondamente sbagliata e incentivi il traffico di essere umani”, ha dichiarato il ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani dichiarandosi a favore della chiusura dello spazio Schengen con la Spagna.

Ma le parole di Tajani hanno irritato il governo spagnolo. “Questo messaggio è inappropriato da parte del ministro degli Esteri di un Paese partner e amico, dal quale ci aspettiamo solidarietà europea e non demagogia di parte, ho convocato per domani l’ambasciatore d’Italia”, ha annunciato su X il ministro degli Esteri spagnolo José Manuel Albares, commentando il tweet di Tajani. 

Il Marocco infatti è uno dei paesi arabi più schierato con l’Occidente,  mentre il governo Sanchez ha mantenuto una certa differenza su diverse questioni di grande rilevanza (uso delle basi e dello spazio aereo per la guerra all’Iran, critiche radicali ad Israele per il genocidio a Gaza e l’attacco al Libano, ecc) e ha spesso tensioni con il Marocco sulla questione dell’autodeterminazione del popolo Sharawi.

It is with great joy and an inseparable sense of proletarian, Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, internationalist duty that we welcome this very important meeting of the international maoist. We are among the growing number of advanced elements, among revolutionary intellectuals and vanguard workers, who recognize the role played by the New Democratic Revolution in India as a strategic anchor of the World Socialist Revolution (WSR). In this century, marked so far by the intensification of class and national struggles resulting from the crisis of the imperialist system (and imperialism is nothing more than capitalism on its deathbed), the most relevant favorable subjective event in the communist field was the founding of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) in September 2004. By merging the two main currents continuing the “spring thunder” of Naxalbari in 1967—whose experience, systematized at the 9th Congress in 2007, is a valuable and impressive reservoir of lessons for new generations of communists— the Indian Maoist comrades not only gave new impetus to the revolution in their own country, but also provided the Communist International Movement (CIM) a solid base of ideological, political, and material support in the form of a concrete revolutionary experience to be defended and propagated.

In this century, as in the course of the revolutions of the last century, communists are fighting on two fronts: against imperialism and its machinations and aggressions on the one hand, and against opportunism on the other. There is a path that leads from life to books and from books to life, and it is a fact proven by historical experience that every revolution is preceded by an acute theoretical struggle over which path to follow in order to achieve the initially proposed objectives¹. Similarly, counterrevolutions penetrate the ideological plane by proposing all sorts of “shortcuts” or intertwining between proletarian ideology and bourgeois ideology. Of course, the main discernment, the final word in this debate, is given by conscious revolutionary practice, and it is the commitment and ability to carry out its formulations that distinguishes a committed and theoretically relevant debate from a mere scholastic exercise. However, it would be a serious mistake to fall into the opposite error of underestimating the crucial importance of the ideological struggle in the name of escaping empty theorizing. As our Chinese comrades correctly summarized, “we must fully recognize the protracted nature of the class struggle and the struggle of two lines”². Every new condition generates as a unity the possibility and necessity of new advances in Marxist-Leninist-Maoist revolutionary theory and, alongside it, falsely original forms of its revision.

On the ideological front, we must wage a relentless struggle against both blatant forms of opportunism (in the contemporary world, its most clumsy expression is the so-called “Xi Jinping Thought,” which uses Chairman Mao's slogans to promote imperialism with Chinese characteristics) and subtle, supposedly respectable, and revolutionary forms. No pragmatic criterion could override the need to apply what Lenin constantly emphasized, that “a policy of principles is the only correct policy”³. This applies, of course, not only within the party, but also to the international communist movement. This example of swimming against the tide in defense of principles—which makes the situation of isolation only temporary, because to stand by principles is ultimately to stand with the fundamental historical current that is revolution—was put into practice by Lenin and the Bolsheviks when they denounced the majority of social democratic parties that voted in favor of war credits in 1914. In this extremely difficult context, full of lessons for the present day, as we march toward a new war of division, he said, in defending the founding of a new International regardless of the number of its supporters:

“And if socialists of that type are few, let every Russian worker ask himself whether there were many really class-conscious revolutionaries in Russia on the eve of the February-March revolution of 1917. It is not a question of numbers, but of giving correct expression to the ideas and policies of the truly revolutionary proletariat. The thing is not to “proclaim” internationalism, but to be able to be an internationalist in deed, even when times are most trying. (...) It is better to remain with one friend only, like Liebknecht, and that means remaining with the revolutionary proletariat (...) Let the dead bury their dead. Whoever wants to help the waverers must first stop wavering himself” (Lênin, “The Tasks of the Proletariat in Our Revolution”, april 1917).

Whether on the international or national stage, a communist cannot fear fighting in the minority, nor use their momentary weakness as an excuse for inertia and the adoption of a policy of appeasement with opportunistic positions. The crucial point of dialectical materialism is that there is no knowledge outside of practice, no strength outside of intervention in the class struggle. In this sense, it is crucial that we equip the international proletariat with solid theoretical and political principles, as well as solid combat organizations in each country, to face the pressing tasks of rejecting the imperialist war in preparation and taking advantage of all the possibilities that this explosive situation offers for the development of the revolutionary movement. Precisely for this reason, the most subtle forms of revisionism are the most dangerous, because of their ability to deceive, above all, the new and inexperienced generations about their “revolutionary” nature. This is what the master Lenin said about the “sophisticated” attempts to merge Marxism with fideism, against which he waged a relentless struggle in his “Materialism and Empirio-Criticism”.
