Freedom for all comrades arrested in Uganda! Interview with the Communist League of Uganda (January 2025)

 realized by rode fanhe

Qn: 1

When have you been founded and what where the circumstances?

On 2nd October 2024, we conceived the idea of establishing a strong communist party in Uganda based on the classics of Marxism-Leninism. And to achieve this in short term, was realised that it will be impossible due to the unfair prevailing political circumstances in the country, but can be a long term goal after full mobilization of the masses, giving political education and sensitization so as to raise their political attention and consciousness about socialist principles and doctrines.

Hence coming up with a resolution of establishing a political pressure group first so as to carry on this task and its name was branded as the Communist League of Uganda (CLU). But we needed the platform to bring people with communist ideologies and feelings together, that’s why the Whatsapp group named “Communist Ideologies“ was formed on the 2nd day of October 2024 to share the Marxism and other vital communist literature and for conducting discussions and debates.

On 15th November 2024, the communist office was established in Mukono District (municipality) in Goma sub-county Nantabulirwa village.

Circumstances.

The circumstances behind our formation is the prevailing poor working and living conditions that are generally in the country for the majority of the population, due to the efforts that have been initiated but have proven incompetent to address the existing conditions.

When we made a clear assessment on the political side of our country and how it is played, its played on unfair terms and conditions that support the unfair system of capitalist mode of production, that allocates resources in few hands of people in a country and the existing political parties both ruling and the so called opposition, do not differ in their ways of doing things, their ideological stance, manifesto and policy proposals. For instance, by most of them claiming to be social democratic political parties, they side line with the neo-liberal western type of politics that suggests for none rather than capitalism.

Henceforth by recalling the role of socialism in the processes of political and economic progress, borrowing a leaf from the Mao’s China and Joseph Stalin’s USSR, basing on the knowledge about the Common Man’s Charter by DR AM Obote, we found it necessary to have an alternative movement with completely an independent ideology of socialism from what’s existing currently in Uganda. Hence could be made firm by establishing the Communist League of Uganda which in long run can help us to achieve a socialist state in Uganda so as to improve the living and working conditions of all citizens and masses in an equitable manner.

India Red Salutes to Senior Maoist leader Comrade Radhakka

Red Salutes to Senior Maoist leader Comrade Radhakka who was devoted to the revolution to the last drop of her blood!

Senior Maoist leader Motibai, widely known as Radhakka, has died at the age of 65 due to a prolonged illness. She succumbed to a prolonged illness on Monday evening, August 31, 2026, while undergoing medical treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital in Adilabad, Telangana She was an adivasi from Adilabad district. Radhakka was a native of Pippaldhari village in the Adilabad mandal. . She was the life partner of Pulluri Prasad Rao @ Chandranna, ex-CCM of the Maoist party.

Radhakka emerged as a prominent, first-generation female leader during the peak periods of the People’s War led group movement in the region. She played a pivotal role in shaping the armed movements in that area.

She was arrested in 2013 when she came out for treatment. She was a district committee member at the time of her arrest. She unwaveringly devoted two and half decades of her life for the cause of revolution, overcoming the harshest perils and making it a habit to resurrect from adversity.

The revolutionary movement in Telangana underwent severe state repression and political setbacks, and thus the party had to take strategic decisions on the security of its forces and to protect the movement forces in Telangana.

In this backdrop, not only the state and district committee members in Telangana but also other party members were asked to retreat for the attack. This retreat was not just about shifting party forces from one region to another. Along with the long-term political-strategic goal of converting the area into a liberation zone, it was also a ploy to protecting the party forces from facing severe repression in Telangana. As a part of this political-strategic decision, Radhakka was transferred to Dandakarnya in 2003.

The Indian revolution, the people's war, the CPI (Maoist) is today in a very difficult situation, the Modi's regime claims that India is “naxal-free” today. The ruling classes, other governments and regimes in India had said the same in the past but the history has showed that this is an illusion.

People's war and CPI (Maoist) are immortal! New generations of sons of the people are in struggle and take in their hands the flag of revolution.

It is true that in these hard times it needs more than ever the international and internationalist solidarity and support by the communist, proletarian, revolutionary movement, anti-imperialist movements, proletariat and people in struggle and in arms in the world.

ICSPWI with its strong and permanent support of CPI(Maoist) in all form, exists for this and is engaged to mobilise everybody for this support.

The actions of protest of the International Emergency campaign agaist Operation Kagaar until the strong 28thMarch demostrations in the world have showed that in many parts of the world this is possible, but it needs to continue this campaign and do much more.

It needs to unify the international movement against all the forms of opportunism and sectarianism.

It needs to unite the initiatives on the democratic front and in support of the democratic people’s opposition movements against the Modi regime with the support to the CPI(Maoista) and his struggle against revisionists, traitors and capitulationists, today. and particularly on the 22nd anniversary of Party foundation in september, to defend the Party and the road of protracted People’s War in India e in the world.

It needs to bring this struggle within the international communist movement, the large anti-imperialist movement in the world, first the movement of solidarity with the Palestine, the movement aganit the imperialist war, the movement against repression for the release of political prisoners.

Therefore, as part of an ongoing protracted campaign, we call for a new International Day od Solidarity and struggle on the 26th of September 2026.

The platform and plan of actions for the Day will be developed from Rome to Paris, from Switzerland to Germany, from Turkey to Brazil, from Colombia to USA, from Bangladesh to China e and everywhere it is possible in the world.
