This
year the celebration of May 1st accompanied with a bad news for
workers in Afghanistan. Hundreds of poor villagers in the north of Afghanistan
lost their lives in floods and tens of mine works died in an explosion in a coal
mine in Samangan province a day before May.
More
than 200 poor villagers died and tens of thousands other lost their homes and
properties during the last week of April, more than 16 workers died on 30 April.
But, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs even did not issue a condolence
message to the victims’ families and the government did not announce a national
mourn on this human tragedy. The government and the candidates of presidential
elections are busy with elections results and potential dealing and bargaining
to seize power for exploitation of workers and the oppressed and serve to their
imperialist maters. There is no attention to the lives of poor people and
workers in vulnerable areas and dangerous working places by the puppet regime
and bosses.
Left
Radical of Afghanistan (LRA) expresses its deep sympathy with victim families
and wish immediate recovery for injured workers.
LRA
along with other progressive forces and workers unions will support the campaign
for helping the harmed families of workers and poor villagers. LRA does not
expect the puppet regime of Kazai and its imperialist supporters to allocate the
large amount of money for the interest of the deprived masses. It is the task of
workers and the oppressed to stand for their rights and struggle against the
warmonger and unfair policies of imperialism and its child regime in
Afghanistan.
LRA,
call on workers for their unity and class consciousness to be able to
independently defend their gains. The coming government as a result of
fraudulent election on April 5th 2014 will not be a legitimate
government because of mass boycott and intervention of US/Nato and full
corruption of local authorities. The figures of the elections participants that
the government shows to the media are a lie for deceiving the people. Most of
the April 2014 presidential elections candidates in Afghanistan are warlords and
war criminals who must be given heavy penalty not letting play on the fate of
people for their dirty interests.
