Parigi January 20 - the homage to comrade Pierre is transformed into a Maoist demonstration through the streets of the city

The tribute to Pierre on January 20 was a proletarian and revolutionary event that has touched the hearts and minds of all the comrades who attended, and has launched a message that pays homage to this important fallen comrade and, at the same time, boosts and strengthens the revolutionary consciousness, the communist militancy and the commitment to advance in the struggle for communism.

In the historical hall of the "Bourse du travail", at 11 AM, the proletarians and union members who had shared with Comrade Pierre many years of workers' struggle, the young communists of the Maoist Communist Party of France, the representatives of the organizations and parties from other countries who had decided to participate directly at the homage, on behalf of many comrades, organizations and parties that had expressed their emotion and homage to the comrade of Pierre in the world, occupied different sectors.

Of course, Pierre's companion was there, and she was surrounded by the affectionate solidarity, to which she responded with emotion but also with sweetness and warmth for the presence of many comrades who made Pierre's figure and work even more alive.

The celebration begun with the speech of a militant comrade of Pierre who, in a hall decked with flags, resounding the cry “comrade Pierre, present!”, paid the main homage.

The singing of the International has seen everyone standing up, making the moment unforgettable.

Then, with great attention and warmth, the testimonies of union and social activists were heard, which in paying homage to Pierre highlighted significant episodes of Pierre's activity and put the whole his work in the fire of the class struggle.

After the testimonies, musical homages have begun. A popular singer has plaid three pieces dedicated to Pierre and a red choir sang a collection of historical songs of the workers movement of France and other countries, songs of the anti-fascist Resistance and a double performance of the Internationale which saw a warm participation of all the attendance. And, to finish the celebration, the young French Maoists sang "The new partisans", a song very dear to Pierre.

But in no way the tribute could remain only in a closed room.

With a large banner and many flags, youth and comrades went out of the room and reached the nearby Place de la Republique, the place where the lethal accident had occurred. Here, once again, the slogans involved and drew the attention of the people in the square or who were passing by.

Afterwards, the decision was to march together to the Père Lachaise cemetery, where Pierre is buried, to conclude the event at the Communards Wall.

During the walking, the march grew in intensity and strength, with slogans paying homage to Pierre but also to Gilles Tautin and Pierre Overney, historical figures of the "French May" movement and the Gauche Proletarienne, whose history Pierre was part. The slogans have also hailed, in different languages, to the people's war, the armed struggles of the peoples, the proletarian internationalism.

These slogans for communism and communists impressed the people along the way, since imperialism, governments and reformists consider that all this is a phenomenon of the past. The tribute to Pierre and this militant march wanted to affirm that the communist militancy is immortal and that this battle has a bright future, marked also by the majority of youth that characterized the march.

All this has reached the top at the Comunards Wall. In that place, dear to the entire international communist movement, where Pierre was on many occasions and events, the “dense” tribute of the communist organizations present at the event has been heard. Italian, Turkish, German and Austrian comrades brought with purposeful speeches, the meaning and the importance of Pierre, his work, his ideology, which today are heritage of the international communist movement and, in its various aspects, a reference for the action of parties and the organizations that are constructing Marxist-Leninist-Maoist communist parties in the respective countries, looking at the internationalist goal of this work.
Once again, the singing of the Internationale has closed the visible part of this endless day. Endless, because nobody wanted it to end. And it continued in the comradeship and the dialogue between the comrades.

Comrade Pierre is with us and lives in the irreducible struggle of the proletariat for the socialist power and communism!
