On anniversary of Martyrdom - Comrade Basava Raju’s spirit remains entrenched in the hearts of the oppressed masses ....

.....

.....Most creditable the manner Student magazine Nazariya and intellectuals like Ajith(Murlidharan),Vivek of Tamil Nadu, or Ravi Narla and N Venugopal of Telengana are courageously leaving no stone turned in refuting the myth that the Maoist Movement and ideology have been extinguished ,and resurrecting the glorious achievements. Praiseworthy and positive the boldness, forthrightness and clarity in which they have not only exposed the surrendered leaders but defended the path of protracted peoples war and ideology of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism....

May 21 will remain as a dark day in the history of India's new democratic revolution (Maoist) General Secretary Comrade Basavaraju along with 27 comrades were martyred after heroically displaying death defying courage battling 20,000 security forces for 72 hours in Gundekot forests under Orcha block of Chhattisgarh state, Narayanpur district. They carved a permanent niche in the annals of the Communist movement, inscribing their names in golden letters.

Nambala Kesavarao who was born to a school teacher in Jiyyannapeta village near Kotabommali of Srikakulam district got a seat in Warangal Regional Engineering College. He led the life of a student, who had spent school and college playing games singing, before his life to a dramatic political turn took a turn in the REC campus.

Nambala Kesavarao joined Warangal Regional Engineering college from that district during the time when Srikakulam set back was the breeding ground for a new dream. He shimmered the wave for the same goal for 53 years and became immortal.

Comrade Kesavarao analysed that when the weapons of the ruling parties were trying to stabilize the state of looters, it was imperative to bear weapons, it is inevitable, to resist the oppression of the ruling parties, Comrade Keshavarao innovated and mastered the technology required to resist the repression of the ruling groups.

Comrade Kesavarao's stupendous energy for five decades lit the spark of the revolution that started liberation of oppressed people by guiding him in many other things like construction of armed forces, military training, self-defence attacks are priceless.

Basavaraju took over the responsibilities of the party when the revolutionary was at its ebb or most precarious stage. His death was s an irreplaceable loss for the revolution. But he was prepared in advance to hand over his responsibilities to the leaders of the future generations. A few days on the verge of his heroic death, he addressed his comrades with great clarity, confidence, and sense of vision, to ignite the revolutionary flame to flash within their hearts.

“Don't think about me.I can only carry out these responsibilities for another two to three years* *.You have to pay more attention to the security of the youth leadership. Movements* *will not be weakened by sacrifices. Sacrifices will not be wasted. It has never happened in history. Throughout history, sacrifices have given power to revolutions. I still believe.”

*With the inspiration of these sacrifices, the revolutionary movement will rise again in a new level with more power. It will come in front of us. The evil plans of this fascist government will not work. The final victory is of the people. "*

These words were a testament to his unwavering to accomplishing revolution reminiscent of an inextinguishable red lamp. They serve as an embodiment of his belief on the revolutionary future even though the revolutionary movement was facing the harshest perils or gravest drawbacks... It is higher than Himalayas.

The oppressed people may not even have dreams. They may not have the time or opportunity to shed tears of the inhuman oppression they are experiencing.

There are countless stories on this earth. Even though they were written in thousands of years history books, they remained steadfast as people's songs and stories.

As long as hunger prevails in this world, struggle will ignite. The memories of the fighters will be there and stories will be heard like an imperishable soul. The words told by them will be spread. for atleast in another hundred years, and never be erased.

Revolution will not cease with deaths. Even without weapons, the wars will continue in the form of protests and placards. Even if the state makes people disappear., burns bodies demolishes the stupas and propagates that the revolution is done and dusted, once again those names will flash epitomising that there will be fierce resistance even without weapons. The revolutionary spirit will resurrect in the manner of an imperishable soul.

Even a year after execution of Comrade Basava Raju his spirit resurrects in many corners of India, which is a testament to the seeds he planted to engineer blossoming of new roses. Maoists and Revolutionaries should resurrect his indomitable spirit, creative energy. And non -mechanical approach, never erasing Basava Raju’s stupendous work in generating armed revolutionary resistance amidst the gravest adversity. The retaliatory actions he orchestrated in the decade years before his death gave ideology of Maxism-Leninism-Maoism the cutting edge, enabling it’s legacy to sparkle.

Most creditable the manner Student magazine Nazariya and intellectuals like Ajith(Murlidharan),Vivek of Tamil Nadu, or Ravi Narla and N Venugopal of Telengana are courageously leaving no stone turned in refuting the myth that the Maoist Movement and ideology have been extinguished ,and resurrecting the glorious achievements. Praiseworthy and positive the boldness, forthrightness and clarity in which they have not only exposed the surrendered leaders but defended the path of protracted peoples war and ideology of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
