 Tribute on the 53rd Martyrdom Anniversary of Comrade Ibrahim
Kaypakkaya, the Foremost Leader of the Maoist Movement in Turkey
Comrades,
Accept revolutionary greetings on behalf of our Party. We received your
invitation to participate in the programs commemorating the 53rd Martyrdom
Anniversary of the great Comrade Ibrahim Kaypakkaya. While we have accepted
the invitation, we are unable to be physically present. Therefore, we are sending
this message of tribute.
We remember Comrade Ibrahim Kaypakkaya with the deepest respect. In the
1970s, Comrade Ibrahim Kaypakkaya, along with Comrade Charu Majumdar,
Comrade Chiang Ching, Comrade Siraj Sikder, and Comrade Jose Maria Sison,
played a vanguard role in establishing Maoism as the third stage of Marxism-
Leninism worldwide. For this reason, we recognize Comrade Ibrahim
Kaypakkaya not only as a leader of the people of Turkey but as a foundational
leader of the international Maoist movement.
Comrades,
To mask their inherent catastrophes, imperialism and its lapdog lackey regimes
are imposing fascism across nations, pushing the masses toward the brink of a
Third World War. In such a period, our primary responsibility is to develop
People’s War in every country following the path of Comrade Ibrahim
Kaypakkaya, and to prepare the masses for a life-and-death struggle against
fascism and imperialism.
Simultaneously, it is the duty of us all to shoulder the responsibility of building a
unified international organization of Maoists. Today, honoring Comrade Ibrahim
Kaypakkaya can only have these two meanings in our realization.
We note that two parties are jointly organizing today’s program. We hope that this
journey through the process of unity-struggle-unity will lead to the birth of a
single, unified Maoist Party on the soil of Turkey.
Comrades,
Our Party is persistently attempting to develop a successful Protracted People’s
War in our country, navigating through various ups and downs. Under the
leadership of our Chairman, Comrade Anwar Kabir, our Party is developing the
line of People’s War for a plainland country like ours through a comprehensive
historical synthesis.
Over the last 60 years, significant socio-economic changes have occurred in neo-
colonial countries worldwide. We are striving to advance our struggle by
analyzing these new conditions, such as the survival of semi-feudalism in new
forms through its alliance with bureaucratic-comprador capitalism, and the
massive urbanization fueled by the deep penetration of imperialist capital.
In Conclusion,
We conclude by once again paying our revolutionary tribute to Comrade Ibrahim
Kaypakkaya.
