🔥 Despite the heatwave and the lack of trams, over 60 people attended the final Faisons Front evening of the year, which was dedicated to revolution and counter-revolution in India.
🚩 On this occasion, we had the pleasure of welcoming a South Asian revolutionary and broadcasting a video message specially recorded for the event by Ajith, a former political prisoner and Indian Maoist activist. They discussed current political events in India, the issues surrounding imperialist predation, and the history of the Maoist movement, as well as its current relevance and the challenges it faces against intensifying counter-insurgency campaigns.
Finally, the debate continued around the perspectives and stakes in India, Europe, and France, aiming to support this revolutionary process that holds valuable lessons for our entire camp.
The evening concluded with a solidarity photo featuring some of the attendees, who held up a banner and portraits of three Indian revolutionaries: Bhagat Singh (an emblematic figure of the anti-colonial and revolutionary struggle against British rule), Anuradha Ghandy (a Maoist and feminist activist), and Basavaraj (secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), assassinated in May 2025).
🤝 For the occasion, we invited two organizations acting in solidarity with this struggle: Reconstruction Communiste and the Ligue Anti-impérialiste. We thank them for being there, as well as Éditions des Filles de la Commune, who were present offering several books, including a collection of texts by Basavaraj.
