CPN-Maoist not against talks, election: Thapa
PARSA, May 19: General Secretary of the CPN-Maoist, Ram Bahadur Thapa, has said that they are not against talks and election. Expressing the view at a news conference organized by the Revolutionary Journalists´ Federation, Parsa, here on Sunday, Thapa said that they are ready to hold talks with the government.
He said scrapping of the 25-point ordinance, dissolution of the four-party mechanism and formation of an election government under the leadership of political parties through a roundtable conference are their demands for the talks. Thapa further said that they would only participate in the election to be held by a political party-led government.

Baidya men capture property of UCPN (Maoist) central member
BHOJPUR, MAY 19 – Cadres of Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist have captured the property of UCPN (Maoist) central member Ninu Chapagain in Bhojpur. Following the capture, the UCPN (Maoist) district leadership has urged the CPN-Maoist party to return the property of their fellow comrade The CPN-Maoist cadres had captured the house of Chapgain nearly a month ago by hoisting their party flag on the latter’s property.
Urging the Baidya-led Maoists to solve the issue through dialogue, the UCPN (Maoist) warned the CPN-Maoist to be responsible for the repercussions if they don’t return the property to the rightful owner.
