The spark of Women’s Strike Lights Fires!
The “Women’s strike” on 25 November against “femicide, rape
and sexual violence” against the “double oppression and double
exploitation of women” took place and was successful, beyond
expectations.
The sparks have begun
lighting many fires, from North to South.
The prevailing feeling among
the women who have observed, first time in Italy, this historic
strike is the PRIDE!
Red-Dressed Workers Women for the Women's Strike in L'Aquila |
The workers women were
the most exciting news! In the factories of engineering, logistics
platforms, from Bergamo to Bologna, etc., in some jobs the workers
have gone on strike in hundreds.
Also the women working in
many jobs, private and public, precarious, blackmailed, humiliated,
on 25 felt themselves strong, because they have dared to challenge in
many ways and they won!
Along with them, the
novelty of female immigrant workers, who have rejected the double
blackmail. Their presence, though still small, after the State
massacre of women and children in the sea of Lampedusa, was a signal
to say “Never more”.
Women's Strike in the Factories |
Especially in the factories,
the workers, many unions delegates, have had the courage to observe
the women's strike in open opposition and breaking with the
opportunist and hypocrite line of the national secretariats of the
CGIL and their leader, Susanna Camusso. This too was a spark whose
effects can cause fires repeatedly. The women did it, in a situation
of ongoing struggle on individual battles, where often a rupture
emerges between workers and official unions to take stand on whether
women should or should not be the players of a double struggle, of
class and gender, also in the trade union movement.
This strength, courage,
“challenge”, pride of the workers, women who took in their hands
the “women’s strike” and turned it from “slogan” into a
reality, albeit still initial, give the correct proletarian mark to
the “women's strike”, a strike that is mainly an expression of
the most exploited and oppressed women, those who have not only a
chain to break but double, dozens of chains.
The women's strike in Milan |
Another force of the strike
in many cities were the female students. Veritable “zones of
explosion” have been seen, mainly in the South. The girls brought
to the strike, in the demonstrations, the fresh wind of their
beautiful rebellion and the will of fighting, and said loudly: “they
kill us, deny us the future, but we are not afraid, we rebel, we want
to make a revolution that will change heaven and earth”. Breaking
with the myths and stereotypes about girls, they rose again and again
the rebellious cry: “you'll never get us as you want us!”
The intertwining of
class and gender that brings the strike of women is the right weapon,
a “danger” for the bosses, governments, State, men, who hate
women, it is a “mixture” that can ignite the prairie.
This strike intertwined the
struggle against femicides and rapes with the overall class war that
this social system carry out on women, a reality that confirms once
again that the condition of women in a society is a measure of the
degree of civilization of that society and that the struggle of women
is crucial for the revolution to overthrow from the top to the bottom
this social system, according to the theory and practice of the
“revolution within the revolution”, to build a new society in
which “all life has to change until new relations between men and
women ...”.

Women's Strike in Palermo |
In this, the strike of
women in Italy joins the revolutionary struggle of our sisters in the
frontlines of people's wars and puts another important stone in that
“bridge”, from Italy to India to the whole world, that we have
begun to build.
FOR EVERY WOMAN KILLED,
RAPED AND HARRASSED WE ARE ALL INJURED PARTY!
FOR FEMICIDES THE
MOURNING IS NOT ENOUGH, YOU WILL PAY HIGH, YOU WILL EVERYTHING!
UNEMPLOYMENT, POVERTY,
HIGH COST OF LIVING, GET IT OVER WITH THESE GOVERNMENTS!
MODERN MIDDLE
AGES, DOUBLE OPPRESSION, WOMEN IN STRUGGLE FOR
THE REVOLUTION!
LONG LIVE THE WOMEN’S
STRIKE!
