Nepal Maoists torch Indian embassy car, warn Modi
KATHMANDU: Members of the Communist Party of Nepal- Maoist on Saturday said they set on fire a vehicle belonging to the Indian embassy here. However, both police and embassy officials refuted the claim. Party members claimed that they burnt the vehicle and smashed its window panes to protest India’s blockade of road transport of supplies of food items and other commodities to Nepal. “We had earlier warned not to ride Indian vehicles in Nepal, otherwise the angry people can do anything. Modi government did not take this issue seriously and that is why the people are angry. This anger will convert into a struggle. This will neither benefit India nor Modiji,” said Khadga Bahadur Vishwakarma, spokesperson of Nepal Communist Party Maoist.
CPN Maoist’s banda affects life across country
Nov 30, 2015- The nationwide banda enforced by the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist against the Indian blockade affected life in various districts on Sunday. CPN Maoist activists torched a truck (Na 4 Kha 7130) at Nalang along Kalu Panday Marga in Dhading. Truck driver Kamal Prasad Bartaula said three persons stopped the truck and set it on fire. Deputy Superintendent of Police Sabin Pradhan said they were searching for the persons involved in the arson. Following the incident, police escorted over a dozen tourist vehicles to their destinations in Chitwan and Pokhara.
CPN Maoist supporters also torched a cargo truck (Na 2 Kha 9764) at Paurai forest along the Chandranigahapur-Bagmati stretch of the East-West Highway. The truck was transporting bamboos to Kathmandu from Sunsari. The banda affected normal life in Butwal and its vicinity throughout the day. There were no vehicular movement along the East-West Highway and Siddhartha Highway. CPN Maoist activists also vandalised a car with Indian licence plate at Madan Chowk in Kanchanpur. Police briefly detained six CPN Maoist cadres on charge of vandalism.

They were released in the evening. After the incident, the Indian authorities stopped all Nepal bound vehicles at Gaddachowki in the Nepal-India border point. In Biratnagar, the CPN Maoist supporters torched a parked truck with Indian licence plate (WB 25 BN 606). The banda also affected Pyuthan, Kaski, Syangja, Tanahu, Baglung, Gorkha, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi and Myagdi districts. In Kaski, police arrested 34 CPN Maoist activists for enforcing the banda and obstructing the traffic. They were released in the evening.291120151030242-1000x0
CPN Maoist strike against blockade further cripples common life
Nov 29, 2015- Normal life across the country, already hardened by the unofficial blocked by India, has been further hit due to the countrywide general strike called by Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist on Sunday. Chand’s party said it had called the strike against the Indian blockade upon Nepal. Few vehicles are operating on Capital roads and other parts of the country. The number of vehicles was already less in the country due to the fuel crisis resulted by Indian blockade upon Nepal. Educational institutes have also remained shut.

Maoist cadres torch truck
Nov 29, 2015- CPN Maoist cadres set a Dhadingbesi-bound truck ablaze along the Kalu Pandey Highway at Nalang VDC-6 in Dhading this morning for defying the banda called by the party. Police said that a group of three Maoist cadres sprinkled petrol on the vehicle (Na 4 Kha 7130) and set it on fire. The vehicle was damaged completely, police said. RSS

Chand-led Maoist set ablaze broken down Indian plated tipper
Nov 29, 2015- Netra bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist cadres have set ablaze an Indian tipper in Biratnagar on early Sunday. The arsoned tipper, WB 25 BN 606, had broken down some six months ago and was being kept in an open field near Indian Embassy contact office. DSP Pramod Kharel informed that the tipper has been completely destroyed in the fire and the Police have recovered Chand-led Maoist pamphlets at the scene.

Indian number plate bearing jeep vandalised in Kanchanpur
Nov 29, 2015- CPN Maoist cadres have vandalised an Indian number plate bearer Jeep (26Z0227) at Vidyutchowk Bhimduttanagar today. The jeep was heading to Gaddachauki from Chammanchowk. Police have arrested five cadres including Mahakali In-charge of the party Devidutta Pandey in this connection.
The police have escorted and escorted the vandalised jeep across the border. The banda (general strike) enforcers have targeted the Indian number plate bearing vehicles in the areas following their protest against the border blockade imposed by India. Chand Maoists vandalise truck in Gulmi
Nov 29, 2015- The general strike called by the CPN Maoist today has affected normal life in the district. The educational institutions and market are closed since early this morning due to the banda. The party cadres have vandalised a truck (Lu 1 Kha 7881) and have impounded two other trucks at Gaidakot today. The truck was heading to Tamghas from Gaidakot carrying poultry feed, it is learnt. The banda (general strike) enforcers have targeted the vehicles that were defying the banda in the areas. The strike has been called in protest against the border blockade imposed by India. RSS

Truck set on fire at Rautahat for defying banda
Nov 29, 2015- A group of unidentified persons have set a cargo truck on fire for defying banda a Pourai forest along the Chandranigahapur-Bagmati road section on Sunday morning. No one has so far claimed the arson; however, the police have suspected the involvement of Netra Bikrak Chand-led Maoist cadres since the incident has occurred on a banda called by the party. The truck, Na 2 Kha 9764, was hauling bamboos to Kathmandu from Chatara, Sunari when it was set on fire. The truck has been completely destroyed by the fire.
