Nepal - CPN Maoist- Chand organises a mass demonstration

CPN M demonstrates DAMAULI: Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist on Sunday organised a mass demonstration against the border blockade in Damauli, Tanahun. A huge number of people with banners and placards took a round of the city and converged at Asan Chowk for a corner meeting. The participants shouted slogans demanding an end to the border blockade. A number of students were used in the demonstration. The students said that they were deprived of education and were facing many problems due to the blockade. CPN Maoist cadre held over arson attack in Dhading Dec 5, 2015- Police arrested a man for arson attack on a truck at Kalu Pandey road in Malekhu-Dhading Besi road during a general strike enforced by Netra Bikram Chand led CPN Maoist against India’s blockade. A group had set ablaze a truck (Na 4 Kha 7130) that was carrying bricks from Chitwan to Dhadingbesi at Sikrekhola in Nalang-6, Kalidaha in the district on Nov 29. Police DSP Sabin Pradhan informed that Kumpur-8 resident Sankha Narayan Shrestha, 38, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the incident. Shrestha is Kumpur village Secretary of CPN Maoist.
