The Global Campaign to Stop the Genocide in Gaza called for participation in the global general strike on Monday, April 7, to demand an end to the ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip. Local calls were made in Jordan, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, the UAE, Syria, occupied Jerusalem, and all Arab countries. The Palestinian Forces in other countries called upon the people to respond and mobilize. Among others Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) joined the call and issued statements.
We hereby share some of the mobilizations and actions that took place.
Palestinians went on general strike across West Bank in solidarity with Gaza. Cities, towns and refugee camps joined the strike on Monday in solidarity with the Gaza Strip and there was a full shutdown:
Hamas denounced tat the treacherous Palestinian Authority repressed the mobilizations done in solidarity with Gaza and detained several protesters in West Bank. In Ramallah a demonstration was dispersed near the Al-Manara Square.

Thousands took to the streets in Damascus, Syria, condemning the Israeli aggression and supporting Gaza:

The teachers of the country went on strike showing solidarity with Palestine:
