Raise Voices Against 'Operation Kagaar' — Support the People's War andDemocratic Struggles of the Indian Masses Under the Leadership of the CPI(Maoist), and the Liberation Struggle of Palestine
The fascist Narendra Modi government is carrying out a brutal massacre against the
Maoist struggle — the struggle for liberation of India’s oppressed classes and peoples. At
the same time, with direct backing from U.S. imperialism, Israel has unleashed a ruthless
Zionist aggression against the people of Palestine. We, the People’s Democratic Students
Unity (PDSU), as allies of the international proletarian revolution, stand in firm solidarity
with India’s oppressed people, the Maoist movement, the ongoing People’s War, and with
the Palestinian people in their just struggle for liberation. We strongly oppose the unjust
wars and brutal campaigns of repression waged across the world by U.S. imperialism and
its proxies — Indian expansionism, Israeli Zionism, and all reactionary forces — for their
own narrow interests, targeting oppressed classes, nations, and peoples everywhere. From
April 7 to 12, 2025, the International Committee for the Support of People’s War in India
(ICSPWI) has called for an internationalist campaign in support of the ongoing People’s
War in India and the Communist Party of India (Maoist). We express our full solidarity
with this call.
The so-called "world’s largest democracy" — the Indian state — is today ruthlessly
exploiting and crushing the workers, peasants, and toiling masses of its own land. It is
stripping the indigenous Adivasi peoples of their rights to land, forest, and water. It is
depriving religious minorities, especially Muslims, of their democratic rights and
committing indiscriminate massacres year after year. Economically, the fascist BJP
government’s policies reflect the crises created and imposed by imperialism, its comprador
agents, and India’s big bourgeois-landlord classes. India is also launching expansionist
aggression on neighboring countries, including Bangladesh. It is now clear and
undeniable: the ongoing People’s War in India, led by the CPI (Maoist), along with the
broader revolutionary and democratic struggles of the people, is the only genuine
alternative and hope for India’s oppressed classes, peoples, and nations. Through
Operation Kagaar, Modi is now determined to crush this sole hope and eliminate the
Maoists by 2026.
This People’s War is not something new. The Indian state has continuously and violently
attacked this just class struggle and revolutionary war. Now, under Operation Kagaar, this
attack has reached a brutal peak. Over the past year alone, we have received reports of
more than 400 people being killed in Bastar — including killings of ordinary Adivasi
villagers merely on suspicion of being Maoist. This is the reality of the so-called "world’s
largest democracy".

While this is the situation in India, at the other end of the world, Palestine is facing a
horrific Zionist aggression by Israel. Countries across the Arab world — like Syria, Yemen,
and Lebanon — are also being pulled into war. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at
least 50,669 Palestinians have been killed and 115,225 injured in the war imposed by Israel.
From mainstream and especially social media, we see how Israel’s fascist forces are not
even sparing the children of Gaza in this orgy of slaughter. Rarely has the world seen such
violations of human rights. Israeli airstrikes are being conducted day and night,
indiscriminately, across towns in the Gaza Strip. But Israel is not standing alone. Today,
U.S. imperialism stands behind both India and Israel as their patron and ally. Expansionist
India, in turn, is one of the most active supporters of Zionist Israel.
U.S. imperialism and all its proxies and collaborators stand as the enemies of the people in
Bangladesh, India, Palestine, the Philippines, Peru, Nepal, and across the world. The
advance of any revolutionary and democratic struggle against capitalism and imperialism
anywhere in the world is an essential step forward for the World Revolution. The
democratic revolution in a semi-colonial semi-feudal country like Bangladesh is also part
of this global revolutionary wave. Today, more than ever before, we feel the urgent need to
intensify the anti-imperialist struggle. As students engaged in the battle to establish a
people’s democratic state and government through agrarian revolution on the road to
socialism and communism, we hold it as our revolutionary internationalist duty to express
solidarity and support for democratic people’s movements across the globe.
Supporting the People’s War in India under the leadership of the CPI (Maoist) is today a
basic responsibility for every revolutionary, anti-fascist, anti-imperialist, and democratic
organization and individual across the world. We call upon all revolutionary, democratic,
and progressive forces worldwide: Raise your voice against the massacres in Bastar and the
plan to annihilate the Maoists under Operation Kagaar, and against the ongoing Zionist
aggression in Palestine!
Long live the People’s War and democratic struggles of the Indian people under the
leadership of CPI (Maoist)!
Immediately stop Operation Kagaar!
Long live the Palestinian liberation struggle!
Down with U.S. imperialism, Indian expansionism, and Israeli Zionism!
Long live the people’s democratic revolution in Bangladesh!
