Greetings from the International Department of the
Proletarian Party of Purbo Bangla on the 57th
Anniversary of the New People's Army of the Philippines
On the 57th founding anniversary of the New People's Army (NPA), led by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), we extend our greetings from the International Department of the Proletarian Party of Purbo Bangla (PBSP/Bangladesh).
Struggling people of the Philippines, comrades of the Communist Party of the Philippines, and the New People's Army-please accept revolutionary salutes on behalf of the PBSP/Bangladesh, the representative of the proletariat of Bangladesh.
Comrades,
The proletariat is an international class. As the representative of the proletariat of Purbo Bangla (East Bengal/Bangladesh), our party has consistently maintained its support and solidarity with the revolutionary People's War in the Philippines. A fraternal party, we have long upheld our revolutionary ideology-Marxism-Leninism-Maoism (MLM)-and have carried out propaganda in our country in support of the People's War in the Philippines, forging solidarity between the People's Wars of our two peoples.
Under the leadership of the CPP, the NPA has played a decisive role in the advancement of the People's War in the Philippines for a long time. The growth and achievements of the NPA belong not only to the Filipino people but to the global proletariat as well.
The NPA continues a life-and-death People's War against the reactionary state forces and imperialist powers in the Philippines. They are advancing the People's War against imperialism, neo-colonial exploitation, bureaucrat-comprador capitalism, and feudalism. In this People's War, the NPA has lost many comrades, yet imperialism and the reactionary state of the Philippines have failed to crush the People's War. Today, they continue their desperate attempts to suppress the Maoist movement, but like before, they will not succeed.
Comrades,
Our party has also been making continuous efforts to develop People's War in our plains-land country through the creative application of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
Under the leadership of the party's founder, Comrade Siraj Sikder, in '74-75, and under the current Party Chairman, Comrade Anwar Kabir, in '87-88, nation-shaking armed struggles were forged. However, on both occasions, they were defeated due to enemy suppression and internal weaknesses within the revolutionary movement. Nevertheless, through successes and failures, our party continues the process of developing a Protracted People's War. In this continuity, at our party's 5th Congress in 2024, we adopted a comprehensive 'synthesis' of our 50 years of People's War and revolutionary movement. A key aspect of this synthesis is-in the context of current socio-economic shifts and the new forms of semi-feudalism-to build a Protracted People's War by remaining firm on line while developing tactical maneuvers.
Simultaneously, this synthesis, through a review of experiences regarding the general line of the International Communist Movement, concludes that in the current situation, the primary duty of revolutionary communists internationally is to build a unified international organization under the banner of MLM.
Presently, due to inter-imperialist contradictions, the people of the world face the risk of a Third World War. Imperialism and fascism are imposing wars on the people across various countries. Therefore, a unified organization of Maoists is indispensable at this hour.
Comrades,
We hope that the CPP and the New People's Army will play a vanguard role in building an international communist organization and will simultaneously advance the People's War in the Philippines to new heights.
Let all Maoist Communist parties and organizations concentrate all focus in the international arena-towards the goal of forming a new Marxist-Leninist-Maoist international organization!
Long Live Marxism-Leninism-Maoism!
Long Live Internationalism!
Long Live Proletarian Party of Purbo Bangla (PBSP/Bangladesh)!
Long Live the Communist Party of the Philippines!
Long Live the New People's Army!
Long Live the International Fraternal Relations between the PBSP/Bangladesh and CPP!
With Revolutionary Greetings,
International Department,
Proletarian Party of Purbo Bangla (PBSP/Bangladesh),
29-03-2026.
