On March 28, large, extensive mobilizations were held against Operation Kagaar, against Modi and in support of the people's war in India and the Communist Party of India (Maoist); they have been held all over the world, from Europe to Latin America, the USA, Asia, etc. The international proletariat movement has responded to the call launched by the Emergency Campaign and has gathered organizations, progressives, democrats, anti-imperialists, students, to demand an end to Operation Kagaar and the genocide; end to the expulsion of the Adivasi people from their lands and the killings of Maoist leaders and activists of the people's war.
Demonstrations, gatherings, sieges of Indian consulates, mobilizations in universities, assemblies in the squares and many other events have taken place everywhere in the world. We only give a still incomplete picture of the countries and cities where these mobilizations were held, while we are receiving other news from other countries. In Bangladesh there were marches, events, street assemblies, in the Philippines , Mexico, Turkey, Finland, Holland, Austria, Denmark where there was a march, then in Ireland, Norway in the cities of Oslo and Bergen, in the USA, in the heart of Trump's imperialism, mobilizations were held in particular in New York, Chicago, San Francisco with a large march, in Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais, in Mexico, Colombia , in Germany, mobilizations in various cities, again in Spain, England in London and Manchester with marches; this mobilization has also reached Bosnia, Balkan, New Zealand , and even China.ecc -
International sites and blogs have published and informed about all these actions, it is important to know, details about these, reports, photos, videos, texts, declarations
In Switzerland, in Zurich, there was a very important event because it was an international demostration with the partecipations of parties, organisations, committees, youth organisations of differents countries
In all the mobilizations, the presence of young people was massive. In many initiatives, portraits of Modi have been burned. The slogans, the speeches from Europe, to America, to Asia, etc., have come together with a great red thread.
Modi, with his interior minister, had said that by the end of March he would complete the genocide, the expulsion of the Adivasi population and cancel the people's war and the Communist Party of India (Maoist) that is leading it.
The great extraordinary day of struggle on the 28th shows instead that the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and the people's war are more than ever in the hearts of the proletarians and peoples of the world. It comes as an extension in many different countries only after the great mobilization for Gaza.
The appeal of the International Committee to Support the People's War in India (ICSPWI) for the international mobilization of March 28th march is united to a call ofthe Forum Against Corporatization And Militarization (FACAM) – India that is signed and supported by many organizations, realities, various forcesin all the world
FACAM said: Warm international proletarian and revolutionary greetings to all the organizations in the International Movement that have assumed their historical responsibility against the imperialist assault on the oppressed people of India and undertaken this International Campaign against Operation Kagaar. We call on all revolutionary, progressive and democratic organizations and diaspora collectives to respond to the International Call to Action against Operation Kagaar on March 28, 2026.
In Zurich, there was a international demonstration of reference, for ICSPWI and presence, particularly at the European level. There were representatives of parties, organizations, solidarity realities of various countries The action was supported among others by MLKP, TKP-ML, MKP, the Maoist Communist Party of Italy, Partizan, YDG, Young Struggle, Secours Rouge International, Revolutionärer Aufbau, and a number of other revolutionary organizations.
It was also the continuation of the international mobilization held at the end of January which saw in Brussels the demonstration in front of the European Parliament and the siege of the Indian embassy.
In Zurich, thousands of people marched through the city and occupied essentially its centre.
It was a march that had to face and challenge the ban of the police about the demonstration, with the motivation/excuse of a simultaneous demonstration of the Palestinians and opposing any unitary solution, also prohibiting the display of banners, placards.
But the joint march was held! The Italian delegation that arrived first in the square of departure, of gathering, occupied an entire part of the square and displayed various banners, various signs, not accepting the police ban at all. So nothing but banners or placards, dozens and dozens of banners, placards against Operation Kagaar and in support of the people's war and the Communist Party of India (Maoist), in memory of the martyrs, alongside the Maoist fighters and adivasi women who show the way for women's liberation, have been raised up and carried throughout the march.
A unitary march, because just as there is an increasingly close black bond between Modi's India and Netanyahu's Israel, between the genocide of the Palestinians and the genocide of the Adivasis; Thus, and even stronger, there is the red link between the proletarians and the Indian people who carry on the people's war and the Palestinian masses who resist.
The march of solidarity with the Indian people, therefore, was not only held but went even further. When it arrived at the final square of the joint demonstration, with the young people who all moved to the head of our march, it did not stop. It continued for at least another half hour, crossing other streets, concluding with speeches, slogans, in an atmosphere of strength, combativeness and above all of commitment to continue the campaign in the near future, with new initiatives.
The situation in India is very difficult and dramatic, the adivasi masses are massacred, the manhunt of the cadres of the Party and its members is carried out ruthlessly, the Maoists are faced with the condition of either surrendering or dying. But the Party resists, resists, nothing and no one will be able to erase the grandiose epic of Naxalism. The people's war in India is the only hope of the hopeless not only in India but all over the world; it is the hope to stop the imperialist war, the exploitation and oppression of peoples. We are talking about the people's war in the largest country in the world; for this reason, support for the people's war and the Communist Party of India (Maoist) is an internationalist duty of all proletarians, revolutionaries, communists in the world.
We have said it on other occasions in other Counter-Information interventions: look, if the people's war in India wins, it is a victory for all peoples, it is a victory for the Palestinians, it is a victory for the Arab peoples, now the people of Iran and for the proletarians, the peoples and the popular masses of the imperialist countries. If, on the other hand, it were to lose momentarily, it is a loss that worsens the situation of the struggles, of the liberation struggles of all peoples.
Since January 2024, the Indian state under Modi's fascist Hindutva regime has been conducting this operation called "Kagaar", it is a military operation whose stated goal is the complete destruction of the revolutionary movement in India by March 2026. Entire regions are occupied by the military, villages are bombed and set on fire, civilians are driven out or massacred, prisoners, many prisoners, including women, children, tortured, raped and executed or killed in so-called "fake encounters". Up to 70,000 units are used including paramilitary forces, air forces, drones and armoured vehicles with the aim of driving out the adivasi populations and eliminating the Communist Party of India (Maoist). What is the purpose? The aim is to liberate the lands of the Adivasis so that multinationals, in particular mining companies, can be established.
But what we see today is that Maoism is more alive than ever, despite the repression, the betrayals, despite the heavy losses, the revolutionary movement in India remains firm on its path. In several public documents, the CPI (Maoist) has made it clear that there will be neither the abandonment of the armed struggle nor the surrender to the state. The party openly analyses its own limitations, mistakes, learns from its losses and reorganizes itself on the basis of changed conditions.
The protracted people's war remains the only way to end national oppression, the caste system, patriarchy, imperialist penetration.
Under Modi's Hindutva regime, which has many similarities with Israeli Zionism, because here too other religious expressions are persecuted, national oppression intensifies and therefore every protest is met with military force. At the same time, India serves as a strategic pillar of American imperialism in South Asia and a close ally of Israel.
That is why the struggle of the Indian people has international importance. The New Democratic Revolution in India represents one of the most important fronts of the world anti-imperialist struggle. Its defeat or victory will have a direct impact on the balance of forces between imperialism and the proletarian revolution, the struggle of the peoples on a world level.
Solidarity with the people's war in India therefore also means solidarity with all oppressed peoples and political prisoners around the world and struggle against imperialism, against imperialist wars, against regimes that are subservient to imperialism and that serve the interests of imperialism and multinationals.
In particular, in this period in which imperialism, mainly American imperialism, acts aggressively trying to impose its reactionary and counter-revolutionary agenda with wars, in the context of imperialist aggression in Iran and Lebanon, after the genocide that continues in Gaza by other means but with many, many more deaths, and the aggression in the West Bank, and in which the contradictions are intensifying, the proletarians and the popular masses in the imperialist countries are also beginning to suffering the economic consequences of the war, the people's war in India stands as a guide for the creation of a new world.
Modi's India today is even more aggressive in the world also in seeking relations, ties with imperialist countries. When the demonstration in Brussels was held, on the same day in India the European Union and India strengthened their collaboration with a new strategic agreement, it is called Free Trade Agreement, which aims to intensify economic, commercial and political relations between the two parties, but it is nothing more than an imperialist tool to strengthen the imperialist grip on India and its people, for the unbridled plundering of Indian resources, the exploitation of the labour of the Indian people and the drying up of its market, flooding it with goods made from same resources of the Indian people.
Modi has also strengthened his ties with Israel, and with Trump. He went to Israel and gave a speech to the Knesset – saying, recalling October 7, "we feel your pain, we share your suffering." He then added: "In the face of extreme Islam we will create an iron alliance", to launch the threat and internal war against Islam beyond India because the only ideology must be the fascist Hindutva.
Of course, now the conditions are terrible, certainly the repression is heavy but it is not the first time that a revolutionary movement in the world has been faced with such a situation, other times it has suffered serious losses, suffered serious defections, has been forced to abandon areas where it had settled for a long time; All these things are not new. But, again, this does not become a reason for surrender at all. The CPI (Maoist), despite the heavy losses of many of its leaders, has said that there will be no surrender, no end to the people's war.
So we have to support the people's war in India, we have to support the Communist Party of India (Maoist) that leads it. Because the future does not only concern India, the country with the largest population in the world, but it influences both in the action of imperialism but above all in the action and in the path it indicates to all the proletarians and the popular masses of the world.
We, together with the Indian people, want a new society without rich or poor, a new society they say in India without the oppression of women, a new society without caste. The present and the future are ours even in this phase in which it seems almost difficult, almost hopeless, but the future is ours, rebellion is just and necessary and cannot be defeated, just as a people's war cannot be defeated, a communist party that has been waging a people's war for so many years cannot be defeated.
But solidarity is necessary, support is necessary!
In this sense, the 28th was a great, very important international day, which will not stop. The 28th, precisely because of what it has expressed, because of the extension of the mobilization to many countries, must continue. This emergency campaign will continue.
Forward with internationalist solidarity!
Stop Operation Kagaar!
Long live the people's war in India!
Long live the Communist Party of India (Maoist)
