AGAINST OPERATION KAGAAR ON 28 MARCH
LONG LIVE THE INTERNATIONAL PROLETARIAN SOLIDARITY!
Forum Against Corporatization And Militarization (FACAM)
The Steadfast resistance of the Indian people against genocidal Operation Kagaar in Central and Eastern India, resonates around the world as a rallying call tor justice for victims of mass murders, sexual violence, political executions and assassinations, torture and illegal detentions under . Shaken by the pilling dead bodies of political activists and Indigenous people in Bastor and other regions, the International Proletariat movement has responded to the call of the hour and rallied the progressive-democratic and justice loving people and collectives with them to demand an end to Operation Kagaar and the genocide of the Adivasi people and their political activists. Protests and gatherings have been undertaken on 27th of January in Brussels at the Indian Embassy and the European Parliament as well as a huge protest by the Joint Committee to Stop Repression in India (JCSR) and various other organizations at the Consulate General of India at Birmingham, UK, on the same day. On the 28th there was as a protest in Vienna as well.
These protests were called in the wake of the EU-lndia Free Trade Agreement negotiations and the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights as well as to reflect upon the nature of Indian State's “Republic” on its celebration of 77th Republic Day on 26th January, 2026.
Previously, Protests and programs have also been conducted in Turkey, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Philippines, Bangladesh, Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland, USA, Greece, demanding an end to the extermination campaign being carried out under Operation Kagaar in India, in the name of development.
Forum Against Corporation and Militarization sends warm International Proletarian Revolutionary Greetings to all the organization who understood their historic responsibility in the International Movement against Imperialist Onslaught on the oppressed people’ of India and undertook this campaign.
We also send revolutionary greetings of solidarity to diaspora organizations of various other oppressed Nationalities like Kashrniri and Palestinian diaspora groups, who joined the protest in solidarity with their fellow oppressed brethren.
We appreciate the efforts of and other organizations in UK and Brussels, who exposed the European imperialist powers that aim to plunder Indian peoples rich mineral resources and our labour power at cheap rates - while holding review meetings on Human Rights. By calling upon their government to suspend EU-India Free Trade Agreement in light of the blatant human rights violations and massive displacement caused by Coporatisation, Militarisation and the genocidal war in Central India -- these comrades have held the European imperialists openly accountable to the world to not intensity and reap the spoils of war unleashed on the Indian people, particularly the Indigenous Adivasi people, under Operation Kagaar
We also lay it bare that EU-India Free Trade Agreement is nothing but on imperialist instrument to strengthen the imperialist stranglehold on India and her people for open plunder of lndia’s resources and exploitation of Indian people's labour and drainage of her market by flooding it with goods made from our own resources and own hard labour, at sky rocketing prices. It is one of the many reasons why the Indian State and the lackeys of Foreign corporates have turned the soil of Bastar and Saronda, crimson with blood of the Adivasi people and Maoist rebels.
In more than 2 years of Operation Kagaar, almost 700 Maoist rebels and Adivasi people have lost their lives in the war of corporate plunder, being unleashed by State-Corporate nexus, occupying and destroying thousands of acres of lands, rivers and forests for satisfying the bottomless pit of corporate greed. Dozens of Memorandum’s of Understandings were signed between Indian State and coporates like, Jindal, Adani, Ambani, Vedanta and Mittal, long before the everyday cold-blooded murders started. These were signed when camps were strangling the Forests of Dandaranya in Bastar and Saranda in Jharkhand, waiting in anticipation like vultures waiting for animal to die, to plunder resources after corpses start falling on the mineral rich soil.
Since the killing of hundreds of Maoists, top leaders and arrests of activists from armed and unarmed democratic movement, Bastar has seen more than 50,000 crore investment in Iron Ore mining and opening of mining blocks for auction.
Hundreds of thousands of hectare forests have been cut down for mining in hills such as Hasdeo, Niyamgiri, Bailadila, Amdai, Saranda, Rowghat, Sujagarh, apart from routine cutting of forests
to turn the entire mineral rich forested regions into large net of paramilitary camps, to act as carpet security to protect foreign corporate interest from harm, owing to people's armed and unarmed resistance.
Looking at the intensifying contradiction between the Imperialism and the oppressed people’s of the World, we recognize that a strong anti-imperialist solidarity among all oppressed people fighting against imperialist onslaught for national liberation, self-determination, democracy and sovereignty, is the call of the hour and a need for International Proletarian Movement.
We hail the rising tide of solidarity from our comrades in the International Proletarian movement, whether be it in Philippines, Peru, Turkey, Brazil, Chile, United States, UK, Brussels, Germany, among many others. We appreciate them for identifying the common thread in the struggle of the people of India, Philippines, and Palestine common enemy, i.e. imperialism and its stooge regimes.
We call upon these comrades and friends ti intensify their international propaganda and direct actions to demand an end to Operation Kagaar and imperialist plunder of Indian people’s resources.
Through this letter, we also send warm greetings to all the diaspora organizations in Europe who have been tireless in their effort to bring the genocide in Bastar and rest of Central India to the notice of the United Nation’s various mechanisms, European Union and International Human Rights Bodies. FACAM has worked with many of these organisations and recognizes their efforts to contribute to the International Campaign against Operation Kagaar. We especially appreciate the efforts of the Philippino communist and progressive organisations and Indigenous people's movement in continuously engaging with Operation Kagaar.
We appreciate the Statements released by various progressive-democratic groups such as International League of People's struggles and its various branches and affiliate organisations. We also believe that the “Early Warning and Urgent Action" call raised by United Nations Committee on Elimination of Racial Discrimination (UN CERD) ON 17th January 2026, pertaining to blatant human rights violations in Bastar and displacement of Adivasi people in Central-Eastern lndia, is a result of consistent effort of various organisations engaged in this International Campaign.
We are also very hopeful of the International Call to Action against Operation Kagaor on March 23, 2026, given by the various committees and organisations sympathic to the cause of the Indian People. We appreciate the Operation Kagaar New York Committee's decision to respond and resonate the International Call to Action.
We call upon all the revolutionary, progressive and democratic organisations and diaspora collectives to respond to the International Call to Action against Operation Kagoar on March 28, 2026.
