As part of the Week of Remembrance for Martyrs of the Party and Revolution, commemorative events were held in the Austrian cities of Linz and Wörgl, reports Avrupa Haber. The commemorations held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 in Linz and on Sunday, January 25, 2026 in Wörgl “were in memory of the immortal comrades who lost their lives in the struggle for revolution and communism.”
Both events began with a moment of silence, which were followed by
speeches. These speeches emphasized the legacy of those who gave their
life and how they are a guiding light nowadays.
Afterwards a
video was screened which depicted the lives, struggles and legacy of the
TKP/ML, TIKKO and the martyrs. A message by the Political Bureau of the
TKP/ML Central Committee was read. The events concluded with cultural
contributions such as poetry, music recitals and melodies.
