Against Operation Kagar: Stop Operation Kagar! - TKP-ML

Banner Hung in Hamburg

On 31 March in Hamburg, a banner was hung by TKP-ML militants in protest against Operation Kagar being carried out in India.

The militants who hung the banner in Hamburg stated that they had done so in opposition to the “Kagar Operation”, highlighting the counter-revolutionary aggression directed against Maoists in India.

The statement noted that since January 2024, the Indian state has been conducting military operations under the name “Kagaar Operation” against Adivasi communities, peasants and activists, and highlighted that during this period, civilians have been displaced, and arrests and acts of violence have taken place.

The statement further noted that the operations were directed against the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and its armed wing, the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA). It was stated that clashes had intensified in 2025 and that some organisation leaders had lost their lives.

Protest in Zurich Against the ‘Kagaar Operation’

An international solidarity protest was held in Zurich against the Kagaar Operation targeting the Adivasi people and revolutionaries in India.

On Saturday 28 March, a solidarity protest against the Kagaar Operation targeting the Adivasi people and revolutionaries in India was held in the Swiss city of Zurich. Participants carried photographs of the leaders of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army and paid tribute to their comrades.

A banner bearing the signatures of the TKP-ML, featuring the images of communist leaders İbrahim Kaypakkaya, Jose Maria Sison, Abimael Guzman (Gonzalo) and Nambala Keshava Rao, was unfurled during the demonstration.

TKP-ML Militants Unfurled Banners in Duisburg in Protest Against the Kagaar Operation

TKP-ML militants have unfurled banners in protest against the attacks being carried out by the fascist Indian state, under the leadership of the Modi government, against the indigenous people and the Communist Party of India (Maoist) under the guise of the “Kagaar Operation”.

In their statement, TKP-ML militants said, “The operation being carried out under the name ‘Kagaar Operation’ is continuing with the support the fascist Modi government receives from imperialists. Many imperialist powers, primarily the US and the UK, are supporting the fascist Indian state. Drawing strength from this support, the fascist Modi government has intensified its attacks, declaring, ‘We will wipe out the Maoists by the end of March.’ In these attacks, hundreds of people from the local population and Maoist forces have been massacred. However, the Indian Maoists are, on the one hand, fighting against the fascist siege, whilst on the other hand taking a stand against the betrayal taking place. We know that the Indian Maoists will continue along the line of resistance demonstrated by General Secretary Basavaraju.

The fascist Modi government’s declaration that it would ‘wrap things up by the end of March’ has been interpreted by MLM forces worldwide as a call for international solidarity with the struggle waged by the HKP(M), and is being turned into a demonstration of solidarity. We, as TKP-ML militants in Duisburg, have hung a banner bearing the slogan “Stop Operation Kagaar! International Solidarity with the People’s War in India” in English, in an area frequented by workers and labourers. Through this modest action, we sought to be the voice of our comrades,” they said.
