HYDERABAD: Communist Party of India (Maoist) urged the people to
boycott Warangal byelections on Tuesday. “Either its fake encounter of
maoists Shruthi and Vidyasagar, removal of 1200 municipal and
panchayatraj workers for participating in a strike, turning a blind eye
to farmer suicides, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been
resorting to autocratic rule,” said Jagan, official spokesperson of CPI
(Maoist) Telangana Committee in a press release on Tuesday. TRS
government’s rule over the past 16 months has been completely
tyrannical, oppressing the aspirations of people belonging to all
sections, further said Jagan. KCR has come into power stating that
‘Maoists Agenda is My Agenda.’
But after assuming power he is encouraging fake encounters. Maoists
Shruthi and Vidyasagar have been killed in a fake encounter only to
ensure that mining resources in the Godavari basin are entrusted to
multi-national corporations. People have to teach a lesson to KCR by
boycotting the bypoll, urged Jagan in the press release. Jagan also
alleged that BJP Government at Centre is resorting to anti-minority
tactics, thus spreading fear and insecurity among minorities in the
country. He also found fault with Congress for neglecting people’s
issues and concerns. Stressing that people’s problems will not be solved
in the present political set-up, CPI(Maoist) urged the boycott of
Warangal bypoll in the press release.
