Poll-shy CPN-Maoist holding CC meet in Dang
DANG, Oct 9: Poll-shy CPN-Maoist party is holding its Central Committee (CC) meeting on how to foil the forthcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) polls in Lamahi, Dang on Wednesday. As many as 70 Maoist leaders including the Central Committee members of the six state committees are participating in today’s meeting, said a source privy to the meeting. It is learnt that Party Chairman Mohan Baidya, Vice Chairman CP Gajurel, General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa and Secretary Netra Bikram Chand are participating in the meeting. The meeting has been called to build a strategy as to how to foil the forthcoming CA elections slated for November 19, said CC member Idrajit Cahudhary.
According to him, today’s meeting will sketch a draft targeting to hit the forthcoming CA polls. The meeting is expected to come up with a clear-cut strategy regarding how to frustrate the CA polls. At a time when the major parties are gearing up to hold CA elections on November 19, poll-opposing party CPN-Maoist is out in the nation-wide campaign to foil the CA polls.
