Greece -Hundreds of workers and youth demand the release of imprisoned ATIK members!

Thessaloniki, Greece

The People's Resistance – Left Anti-Imperialist Cooperation organized actions of solidarity to the ATIK members held prisoners in Germany and France. During the three-day activities of the Anti-Racist Festival that was held from 16 to 18 October 2015 at the city's port, members of the Cooperation distributed thousands of leaflets. At the same time they collected 600 signatures on a text demanding the stoppage of the political and unfair persecutions against the Turkish antifascist militants and their immediate release. The distributed leaflet condemns the persecution of ATIK members in the EU and especially Germany.
In Greece the movement of internationalist solidarity to the Turkish and Kurdish political refugees and militants is strong and massive and in many cases has managed to stop political persecutions by the various Greek administrations in collusion with European governments. The movement defends the right of the militants to fight against the fascist state of Turkey which continues to murder militants, persecute progressive ideas, close newspapers, and take part in mass crimes.
The People's Resistance – Left Anti-Imperialist Cooperation, a front organization that was formed in the recent years inside the peoples' and workers' movement of Greece, will continue its campaign of information and struggle for the release of the imprisoned ATIK members.
